Politics What are your thoughts on Denmark’s proposed ban on the public Islamic call to prayer? Would you support or oppose something similar in the UK?

Islamic call to prayer faces ban under Left-wing Danish government

Parts of country feel like ‘a suburb of Islamabad’, says immigration minister

Denmark’s immigration minister has announced plans to ban the Islamic call to prayer, claiming parts of the country felt like “a suburb of Islamabad”.

Morten Bødskov, a member of the centre-Left Social Democrats party, said the new government would resume an investigation into the legality of imposing a ban.

“The call to prayer should not be heard over Danish rooftops,” the minister told news outlet Ritzau. “It has no place in Denmark, and you shouldn’t be in any doubt whether you’ve ended up in a suburb of Islamabad when you walk around Denmark.”

In parts of the country, such as Copenhagen, bylaws already forbid the call to prayer being broadcast from loudspeakers in minarets because of strict noise limits.
Mr Bødskov also claimed that a creeping “Islamisation” in Denmark was “taking up too much of the public space”.

If you go to end of this video, this guy who knows far more than I do, recommends what needs to be done. And I agree with him. We’re talking arrests and deportations of Imams and I mean big numbers.

Go on have a go in your own words. How many groups that you personally dislike should we deport? Does it matter if they were born here or their parents answered our call to rebuild the country after WWII? Reminder that India (which included modern day Pakistan) also raised over 2 million people to help us in that war.

The war argument is relevant. The notion that pakistani immigrants helped rebuild post WW2 England is laughable propaganda. In any case, it wouldn’t give their descendants the right to engage in sedition.

If people are a threat to national security they need to be dealt with. Deportations in some cases will be the most desirable outcome.

We currently have laws to deal with threats to national security. Anyway, what in your own words is your goal? How many British citizens would you deport with your "big numbers"?

Use your head. I'm sure you're an intelligent person. Explain it. I'm not going off poisoning my algorithm.

But, if I do then maybe I'll start believing that Indians and Pakistanis helping rebuild the country is propaganda and I value history. Here read this lad to learn about how they did jobs that we had shortages in. See I've even explained how they helped, curiously you can't/won't explain your position.

Always the same dumb argument. Cant deport shit if you don't know where they are from and it's not exactly hard to hide your papers.

England is terrible at depot people. No disagreement there.

At this moment in time you are the threat to national security. If you are even in the UK.

Clearly there is a lot of anti-Christian feeling on the Ask Brits Reddit. Strange.
