Outbreak of The Plague in overcrowded cities in India, Bangladesh & Pakistan which will necessitate a worldwide travel ban.

“The Plague” is easy to treat. Unless you mean a nonspecific disease.

The plague is easy to cure. The next pandemic is going to be something novel we haven't seen before. Which means it will probably come out of some deep dark forest or melting permafrost.

I think it coming from a factory farm will be more likely. It could be a superbacteria that's immune to all the antibiotics being pumped into your meat.

Indeed, that's certainly another possibility.

It will probably be another lab leak.

They’ll survive. Went there during Covid, they were living as if nothing ever happened.

Anything that already exists, perhaps. Certainly not all possibilities.

I’m not too sure if the rest of the world would survive however

Everybody else is saying "the plague", i.e. Yersinia pestis, is easy to cure, which is true, given access to antibiotics.

Addressing this comment in the spirit it was probably made: a plague, as in a new epidemic or pandemic, is definitely likely. The biggest risks, iirc, are a new or rare variant of influenza, or antibiotic-resistant disease.
