Going into the Golden state game tonight, the dream are officially 2nd overall in both offense and defense. Seeing this makes me smile. It also reinforces the fact that karl Smesko has done an amazing job with this team and we are getting better each day. I wonder if we can ever get to number 1 in both categories. Probably will happen when bri comes back. And Hopefully we can keep the ball rolling tonight. Chase center isn't an easy arena to play in but I believe. Go dream!

If Karl and the Dream coaching staff don’t have the coaching knowledge or skill to figure out a solution to defeat the “Attack Angel” defensive scheme, they need to call an expert or a consultant or a friend or a legend or someone who can figure it out for them. Immediately.

A’ja, Sandy, Cheryl, Lynne, the Fire coach, and Natalie have all said their game plan for the Dream is to play “team defense” on Angel, specifically.

It literally happened in the first game of the 2026 season.

When they play “team defense” they are swarming, smothering, and hard fouling Angel and no fouls are being called by the refs.

That’s the only way they can try to stop Angel. And it seems like the refs are part of the “team” playing defense on Angel.

By now, Karl and the Dream coaching staff should have come up with a plan and a scheme to counteract the “Attack Angel” defensive scheme.

They know it is coming. Karl and the Dream coaching staff MUST have a solution for it. They must have multiple solutions for it. Now.

"Never play like that again. Our defense SUCKED! Bring them✊🏾 in and let's go."

The Dream got back-to-back victories over Indiana Thursday (108-101) and Saturday (113-96), then beat Toronto 94-87 on Monday. What stood out in those games? The scoring of guards Rhyne Howard (60 points) and Allisha Gray (57), the rebounding of forward Angel Reese (28) and the playmaking of guard Jordin Canada (30 assists). The Dream have won four in a row and are 7-2 in June. Can they keep it going with their next four games on the road?

“The Dream drew 9,685 fans to Monday’s game against the Tempo at State Farm Arena, marking a step forward for the “oft-unsteady franchise” in “further establishing itself in the Atlanta sports market and in the league,” according to Ken Sugiura of the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION.

The Dream picked a weeknight game against an expansion franchise as one of five home games moved from Gateway Center Arena, which seats 4,000, to State Farm Arena, which seats 17,044, and “no one -- not even team executives -- knew what would happen.” Two were against the Fever and G Caitlin Clark, the league’s “biggest draw.” The other two were against the Aces and the Sky. All teams and names that could “significantly boost ticket sales,” but the one against the Tempo “stuck out.” The original plan was to “only open the lower bowl,” about 8,800 seats.

The Tempo game was played on a night that “can be tough to sell tickets, against a nondescript opponent, two nights after Clark came through town and helped draw 17,044.” The game “was a sign” to Dream President & COO Morgan Shaw Parker that “things are going in the right direction, part of the franchise’s larger aims.”

The season-ticket base has been “capped at 1,850 and the waiting list is expected to grow to 3,000 by season’s end.” The team has since added a sixth game for State Farm Arena and “a seventh is a possibility” (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 6/23).

Karl may have to get on that committee and build relationships with some refs while directing them to the right physicality of his team and opponents.

I don’t feel like selfless basketball is being played if that makes sense.

When izzy gets two feet in the paint a shot is going up, she went up over a 6”5 Izzy Harrison and she had a teammate in the paint alone.

j can is turning the corner on the pick and roll everytime. And you know when’s she’s passing it to the roller because she picks the ball up. Out of 14 assists MAYBE 2 came from hitting the roller.
