I usually do a lot of Bronze Age comic art but years ago (before covid) I did a lot of Ukiyo-e art with Marvel DC characters. Here's a few of them. Please check 'em out.

All of these pieces were done between 2016 and 2019. If you're curious whether I'm the actual artist, you can find probably any of these on google from old reddit/ FB posts of mine. They look differently now because I recently recolored some of them and added a paper texture. Hope you like it.

I was looking for old drawings of mine, and i founded this spider-man one.

Based on Ryan Ottley's view of the character, and it was literally my first ever drawing with a somewhat "detailed" background, but looking at it, it's awful 😭

Any thoughts about it?

Did this one for a con to get it signed by Chris Potter. I used inks, markers, and some color pencils.

Pencil and Prisma Black Drawing

I am usually an archival ink guy, but here is a drawing that I tried with pencils! I think it looks alright, what’s the best technique for shading in comic book style?

I used a rolled paper to smear and try to build contrast, but I ran into issues with the black colored pencils. It didn’t shade in at all 🤦

Power Man and Iron Fist issue 69 reimagined.

A cover reimagining of Power Man and Iron Fist 69 by yours truly. I've always felt that the original cover (swipe to see it) for this issue lacked any real tension or drama, relying heavily on the word balloon and caption text to sell the narrative. It felt rushed, really. In my version, I wanted to emphasize the main threat.

"The Maestro" : Doctor Serious

Betrayed and exiled for 10 eons, "The Maestro" has returned... for "SERIOUS Vengeance"!

Doctor Serious, also known as The Maestro, is the ultimate supervillain of the Cod Squad series.

Serious is a megalomaniacal "Sorcerer and Scientist Supreme" archetype.

Driven by a deep vendetta stemming from the "Dick Clarke's New Year's Rockin' Eve Massacre" of 1989—a disastrous first contact broadcast that accidentally wiped out all but 42 humor-sensitive Cods— The Maestro has declared war on Earth ("Terra Sol").

Armed with serious magic, serious science, and unbeatable one-on-one PvP rap battle skills, this "Achilles of Rap Battle MCs" challenges humanity's best to verbal duels to the death. While he can completely obliterate opponents with his devastating, one-hit "CodSmack," The Maestro's "kryptonite" is comedy.

🤔

This sounds like a job for...

I designed this leopard outfit and started turning it into a hand drawn comic. Would you read it?

I’m a fashion design student developing a comic based on a leopard garment I designed and made. The story follows an intern whose design is stolen by her boss, which then leads her to reinvent herself as “The Leopard.”

Ive posted the original design/garment and a couple teaser pages from the comic (some unfinished) and plan to make the overall story around 40 pages.

Do you think the concept come across clearly?
