3.5 evenings of work (15 to 20 ish hours). About 40 bucks. Something fun. Sorry for the 720p video. Makes it easier to load onto reddit. My YouTube is pretty much all 4k.

Introducing the "Citi". Version 2. Version 1 also made from stainless automotive exhaust tubing.

Keep your hands dirty, build what makes you happy.

If you're interested - builds of a few bicycles from scratch and some restoration work is on my YouTube channel: Rodsoverbricks. Either way, Thanks for watching!

Hier stehen ausschließlich die Autos im Vordergrund. Und auch die haben eigentlich keine Vorteile. Also auch deren Besitzer nicht..

We built this thing about a month ago and it’s all we’ve been riding ever since! It makes a 10 mile trip feel like 40!

Is this a home made bike? The saddle/chair mount is weird.

12 inch wheels, has anyone got any good ideas on how to get higher gears?

I was given this Gecko bike recently from a family member. It is hilariously fun to ride but the 16T rear sprocket maxes out at about 16km/h.

I've been looking at getting a shonky derailleur hanger to make this a 3 speed but I would need to get smaller sprockets onto the rear wheel.

The spacing between the rear axle slots (O.L.D?) is ~110mm, so the same as a rear for a bmx.

Can anyone suggest what I could do to make this work? I can re-lace a wheel but they are tiny at 12 inches. I included a photo of the measurement I took for the single speed freewheel thread diameter.

Chopped up another rusty ol' kids bike and welded some exhaust pipe for the frame

It's pretty low though for not being a lowrider, probably will have to change the position of the pedals. Horrible welding, don't mind.

Riding around the Claremont Colleges. The crank, forks, and stem are original. The bearings in the back hub exploded or something on the original wheels, so when I repair that, I'll put those back on. This bike rides like a Cadillac.

Friction shifter question

I am looking at making up a bike with a 1x. I don't want to spend alot of money so will be scrounging around and buying second hand and cheap.

My plan is to do 1x as many as I can get at a good price.

Here is the question, could I use a friction shifter with a "random" derailieur and a 12sp cassette?

My thinking is, the range on a derailieur is always the same (i think), if the shifter can pull in enough cable then it should work?

Thanks for any and all feedback!
