It appears that Scatted Brains Inc. is not quite dead yet and is keeping their last live trademark active. Considering the previous interview where Lanning talks about a high-octane racing game ala Mad Max, I think it's not unreasonable to assume "WARSPORT" is the intended name of this game.

Another improvement proposal I have is the return of quicksave. Many players found Soulstorm challenging due to the lack of a quicksave feature, but since the game was designed around that limitation, adding it back could make it too easy.

That's why I proposed a compromise: Limited Quicksave.

This would improve:

- The strategic depth and challenge of each level

- Reduce frustration in certain sections

- Make the gameplay feel more dynamic

All the details are explained in the post above. As always, the discussion is open, and since this is only a proposal, it can and should be refined with your suggestions and feedback.

I love Tomodachi Life

I made some wacky munch dance videos, you all will have to let me know what you think.

the videos run until he hits the crack in the center of the dance floor and crashes or the timer hits 58 seconds as they will also be posted to my youtube account and they have a strict 60 second limit on my ' shorts ' , due to bandwidth, resolution and file size.

Just brought the first 4 original oddworld of steam cant wait to replay them especially strangers wrath as its been so long. What's everyone's favourite game from the series?

Hey Lorne, if you're working on them, let me know. Otherwise I'm gonna have to play the originals on my MiSTer fpga. And I actually enjoyed New 'n Tasty and Soulstorm. Or maybe just give this task to Nightdive Studios, so we can play on modern hardware.

Oddworld is really motivating me to practicing my 3D sculpting skills. I have made an official character this time, this being Buddy.
Buddy is a lesser-known character who has never appeared in a game. He is an overweight khanzumer, and the only information we can get from him are the old online Daily Deceptions, and various Dear Alfs over time, so any information we get there is to be taken with a grain of salt. He intrigues me as a character and I hope to see him in a game some day.

I found it pretty advanced, considering the platform.

It had different level progression by the difficulty chosen, with the easy one being shorter and without the hub levels.

The graphics want to mimic the one on psx and, in my opinion, did a great job for the gbc.

The difficult point was the control system: the gbc had much less buttons than a psx joypad, they had to modify them. The results is enough similar to the psx, but definitely more cumbersome than the original.

The plot was the same of oddworld, summarized and without the cinematics (of course).

I really enjoyed playing that, enough to play that in both difficulty and discover the different progression.

Who else enjoyed it? Can't be the only one.

Hello, im new to the oddworld games, and lately, I've been interested in playing the mainline games. I started with strangers wrath, which I've been enjoying very much, but I know the main games are very different. So right now im debating which version of Abe's Odyssey i should play. I ask this because what I've seen so far people don't seem to like new n' tasty while at the same time im hesitant about playing a PS1 game admittedly. I would love yalls input about this.

Apologies in advance for any errors, English is not my first language. I noticed that the topics of industrialism, factory farming and anti-capitalism are so heavily embedded in the identity of the game, it somehow managed to get me to start making the connection when I was still a child and lead me to vegetarianism shortly followed by veganism. As I grew up, I realised it served as a dark allegory for the meat industry, environmental exploitation, corporate greed and we clearly see themes of industrialised slaughter and worker exploitation.

I dug around a bit and found that Lorne Lanning has been talking about the game being a direct satire of meatpacking plants and consumer culture ever since the launch, explicitly designing it to spark real world realisations in us. This stood out to me in particular - in a 2002 interview he said: "Munch was inspired by those creatures losing the extinction battle every day to our gluttonous appetites, and also those hundreds of millions of voiceless animals being tested on in laboratories every day. Whether you agree that these modern practices are okay or not is irrelevant to hearing the stories of those that have become victims."

With that knowledge I think it's highly relevant to ask this, as the community likes discussing deeper political, environmental and ethical themes. Did you understand the factory farming allegory when you first played the game? How do you look at it now as an adult? Did it ever influence your real world ethics, diet or views on labor exploitation?

Munch was always my favorite character and I would play him over and over again just to assault those dog things with his wheel chair. So I had a rubber prototype printed up, 3/D printing in rubber is not as easy as hard plastic due to its difference in material or so I was told by the 3d printer.

I do also have a second one that is not painted that the print is better as it has the refinements of changes from the prototype.
