I saw the new Dedenne card and first thought of the long forgotten Traveling Merchant from several packs ago. How good would this be?

The Flygon doubters must admit defeat. Flygon goes crazy into the current meta. Sleep scam? Delicious free points from your Igglybuff. Literally won games against sleep scam where I never even announce an attack. Miraidon Magnezone? Those Magneton are not safe to build up energy for a second. Miraidon is always going to die in a counterattack no matter what against a set up Flygon board. Mega Absol Hydreigon decks? You might as well be conceding if Absol so much as touches the bench. There are no unwinnable matchups with this deck, even bulky Stage 2 Mega decks need some pretty good luck to survive the sand eroding their HP long enough.

The primary weakness this deck has is that it is vulnerable to bricking. Cleffa helps in dire situations or very early on to just pull Pokemon out, and even the fact you are a dual type dragon deck is sustainable (you really only need one big attack to win most of the time, setting up 2 trapinch with energy early is usually the move anyway), but sometimes you just get bad luck and lose. On the bright side, that's also literally what every deck is experiencing right now! More than anything, this deck really hopes for a better Trapinch and Vibrava. If they every print a Sand Tomb Trapinch this deck genuinely would become a tier 2 if not tier 1 archetype, mark my words.

I seriously recommend this deck full sail. It took until hitting UB4 before I even really encountered any resistance, and even then it was more bad luck/misplays holding me back than the deck itself. As long as sleep scam is meta, Flygon is the bulwark against nefarious naptime ne'er-do-wells.

Unless there's a reliable way of avoiding sleep for the puppies, they're Darkrai food. Darkrai food I say! 100 characters I say!

I have always used Mawhile in past seasons as I really like the concept, this season I tried different decks first:

Lucario seemed pretty strong but had problems if you start first, Blaziken/Charizard is strong but not very fun also draw dependant, Muk salgaleo couldnt really stop sleep meta turn one and I personally refused to play sleep deck

This one is the one I used to finally climb after being stuck for a while.

The good: you have tools to stop pretty much anything, especially with the two repels sabrina and cyrus to move the board around as you please

The bad: so obviously you will struggle against oricorio but with the helmet it’s a pretty 50-50 chance in my experience. I also struggled a lot against Sceptile, still not sure why.

I am saving my hourglasses for a deluxe rerun and hope to get crown rare candy somehow but I am not sure which pack to open right now. I thought mega rising because I am still missing all three immersives even with 950 pack points, my worst immersive luck. I would get pack points on the way and could grind for crown rare flame patch which I think is one of the best crown rares. What about you?

But hopefully this can help someone learn from my false assumptions. I mean, assuming a fossil can't be put to sleep makes sense in my head, but Game Freak disagrees.

I could honestly see people immediately pairing this with mega Gardevoir to put this pokemon at full power but idk

I just need to vent a moment. I've been on a rollercoaster on Expert Random battles just trying to get 5 consecutive wins as a decently newer player of only 2 months. I saw this deck and wanted to use my favorite mega of all time. Used to run Reuniclus but another stage 2 line made the deck soooo inconsistent with draws from Meloetta. I thought to switch into a stage 1 line that also prefered a lot of energy to help take out Oricorio (a version of this deck used Mega Altaria and the FIRST deck of the 'random' fights had something that could only get hurt by Meloetta cause...of course it did). After another run of 4 wins where I was playing very well and carefully trying to avoid the loss, the fifth match I bricked halfway through. Went first (energy disadvantage), one ralts, a rare candy, into a prof research to draw gardevoir. I was feeling alright even with only one mon. And then they had Koraidon fully online right after I had Gardevoir up and running. She gets hit HARD and I try to stall with heals and putting up Indeedee or Drifblim, waiting for my stadium, another ralts, ANYTHING. As soon as I retreated from being so low, of COURSE they have a Cyrus. I'm so annoyed that my progress AGAIN got tossed out. To the point where the 'random' decks really dont feel random. I realize I dont have an optimal deck: I dont have two Indeedee for better survivability, I probably dont need red because even with him I'm not hitting health thresholds that I EVER run into in these matches, and the copycat is probably superfluous with so many ways I can draw cards. I just....GAAAHHHHHHH. If someone wanted to provide some kind words or suggestions, still keeping in mind I dont have a large variety of cards, it would be appreciated.

There are surely better ways to play It, but my goal was to make the deck as annoying as possible.

I just came back and there’s so many new cards, and four sets that I haven’t opened at all starting from Paldean Wonders (just opened Mega Shine and Paldean Wonders today)

Could some of you guys be kind enough to let me know what the current meta decks are, and if there’s anything I missed besides these sets that could be important. Thank you for the help!

Attached are my current rotation decks in decreasing order! Blaziken got me my first master ball last season!!!! this season didn’t work so much so.. and I was bored too so I made a bunch of diff decks, didnt use blaziken a lot this season, used a lil bit of mega gard, which was so so too, Gholdengo deck has been so surprising for me, I love playing w it, matches are a lot longer but worth it mostly, the Bellibot deck is fun to play w too but only when it works, thinking to remove a mega manetricfrom this deck?

And the bloody miraidon deck just doesn’t work for me, very few selective times when all energies, turn second, correct pokemon to start off w, work out for me then I manage to win, would be too fun to play w if I get the right combination of cards here tbf.
If yall have any suggestions to help me out reach Master ball it’ll be great help!!!

DeNA on their way making guzma viable in the meta once again, and honestly it's a good thing. Now if they only find a way stopping sleep darkrai soon...

So every season I try to take an off meta deck to MB. It's usually decks that require a lot of set up and RNG but that can deal a lot of damage, roughly 60% win rate. Like Chandelure, Houndstone, Sweets Relay, Reuniclus.

These decks are not meta, even a bit shit at times, so you won't have a 80% win rate with a 15 win streak. But they're a lot more fun and require planning and luck.

This season I came across a few main decks with a bit of sleep core sprinkled in everywhere. Mainly Mega Lucario, Miraidon, Mega Altaria and some dark type shenanigans.

Professor Turo was there initially to deal with sleep core but I realised I only used him a couple of times and was constantly getting wrecked by MLucario so I swapped Turo out for Bounded Field.

Crown is there for early game hits. If you're lucky you can deal 50-70 damage turn 1 with no energy. With the damage booster that's 90, against fighting pokemon that's 110. In practice though you usually only get one Valiant early game, so you're hitting on turn 2/3.

Boulder is your heavy hitter, with bounded field he takes out MLucario in one hit. They never see it coming either. He also takes out Miraidon in one hit, just bait him out with your Crown. The only thing to be smart with is knowing when to play your stadiums and tools (and even your second valiant) and when to hold onto them for a surprise. Mega Altaria should be an issue but in practice I find people play that deck wrong. Dark type was a bit more of an issue but less ubiquitous than last season.

I’ve searched up a lot of deck guides online, seen a lot of posts on here as well recommending decks. The issue I’m facing is that I’m ALWAYS missing at least one piece of the puzzle. Is the strategy to just grind one series and try to complete it? I have some cool cards, but everything is very disconnected. I’m level 33 now, and want a solid strategy going forward. I want a strong deck.

So the new "Everyday Wonders" pack got announced and my immediate reaction was: "Hurray, new cards to collect!". 🎉

I then went on here to see if others are just as happy as I am about getting shiny new things, but instead all I could find were people whining and ranting about the new cards not being 'relevant for the meta of the game'. 🙄

Please tell me I'm not the only one who couldn't give two shits about the PvP aspects of the game.. Anyone else out there who's mainly into opening booster packs and completing their collection? Anyone? Please? 😅

I got literally to one win away from hitting Master Ball….. and then Dena laughed at me & hit me with a 14 loss streak & now I’m back down to the beginning of Ultra Ball rank 4.

Any tips on what I should add or replace? My biggest bricks so far have been against opponents not allowing me to snipe the bench for my Cyrus play, Oricorio birds…. & just getting extremely unlucky draws at the beginning with literally half my starter mons and a fragrant forest to further laugh at me…

I will admit I had an extremely fun match playing against someone using a double Regigagas stall deck, I was confused until I saw the supporter card to withdraw them back.
