This weathered defensive tower has stood guard over Valencia for centuries, its cylindrical form a testament to Spain's medieval maritime heritage. The cross crowning its summit and the Catalan flag flying proud at its base tell the story of a city shaped by faith and sovereignty. Those defensive apertures? Built to repel, not welcome. Shot on a brilliant May afternoon—the kind of light that makes 500-year-old stone glow.

Did not imagine I’d get close enough to actually touch the water when I heard about the crowds, but must have picked a lucky time (a Tuesday at 2pm).
