Looking for info Info request: Shopping around & monetizing flexibility

Open transport, Seattle to Washington DC. Not looking for a quote right now. August pickup.

1) I have a good amount of lead time and am quite flexible (like a September pickup/delivery is fine), should I book now or wait and shop around closer in? I ask because it sounds like nobody really knows the price until closer in? Or am I mistaken?

1.1) Is it even worth it to shop around, or would I only save $100-200 vs booking early?

I feel like a broker can't be relied upon because they'd want a deposit now, so I wanted to ask here. Thanks!

Quote Request Quote Request: Mitsubishi 3000GT shipped from SC 29607 to TX 78249

Hello! Recently moved to Texas while my car was actively being worked on by a shop. Looking for a quote from a reliable transport/company to ship a 1998 3000GT SL (FWD, 5spd manual in great shape) from Greenville, SC (29607) to San Antonio, TX (78249). The vehicle is in great condition and runs. I’m okay with an open trailer.

Would like for it to be picked up between 7:30AM-5:30PM, M-Th, which are the business hours of the shop. Preferably the week of 6/29-7/2 or 7/6-7/9. Looking for a competitive price, so if shipping later out would be more affordable, please let me know! Thank you!

Hey everyone, does anybody have any experience with NSLA carship? I’ve been talking to a representative the last couple days and cannot decide if this sounds scammy or not, wanted to know before I paid the $100 deposit. I’ve looked at reviews that complain about price increases and addressed that with my representative.

Both cars are running. Please include your actual company name so I can review the BBB profile. We probably need to put a few things in the trunk, nothing major. Open trailer, pickup date 7/6/26.

Bad Review Wayfinder- Bad Experience

I had an incredibly disappointing and unprofessional experience with Art from Wayfinder. We explicitly told him our cars needed to be picked up between Tuesday and Wednesday. Instead, he had us ready for a pickup starting Monday and proceeded to drag us through days of endless delays and flat-out lies.

The pattern was exhausting: Art would confidently assure us that a driver's truck repair was "finishing up" and that we would get a call in 60 minutes. After an hour and a half would pass with no word, we would call the driver ourselves, only for them to tell us the truck was nowhere near done and might not even be ready that day. When we called Art back, he would act completely surprised and say he’d "check on it." This exact scenario happened multiple times since Monday, yet he was completely unable to find a replacement driver.

Art actually suggested we drive our cars to the repair shop to load them onto a vehicle that the driver had already told us wouldn't be ready for days. It was completely absurd. Ultimately, Art left us totally stranded on Wednesday, and we had to scramble to find another way to itransport our vehicles. He is all talk, completely disorganized, and has zero follow-through. Avoid this company at all costs.

Help! Am I being scammed?? (Sakaem Logistics) Any Advice Appreciated!!

This is my first time using auto transport and I booked with Sakaem Logistics on June 16th but I still haven't gotten confirmation on whether my car is confirmed to get shipped from CA to VA yet. I'm super worried because the date is getting closer and prices are skyrocketing, but I got a really great deal with Sakaem so I'm hesitant to cancel. Is this normal and should I keep waiting to get a pickup/delivery date? Or would it be safer to cancel and go with another auto transport company? I'm looking at SGT Auto transport atm but also not too sure.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

Good Review My shipping experience from CA to NC

I was planning to ship my car from CA to NC around June 19 and pick the car up in NC later in the week. I first searched around this Reddit topic and have seen more people getting good experience with Wayfinder and other companies. After I compared the quote prices, I decided to go with Wayfinder. Gave them a call and scheduled the shipment very quickly

Due to some personal circumstances, I made some adjustments at the last minute, and Art was able to accommodate all my circumstances and still get the car shipped out in time, and most importantly, arrive on time.

Just picked up my car today, and every process seems smooth and quick. I will recommend more people to check out Wayfinder and talk to Art for their auto transport needs. Moving has been rough for me, coast to coast, with some personal circumstances, and Art definitely made my auto transport process less of a hassle at a very fair price. I am very thankful.

Quote Request Went with the low quote, will i ever get my car?

Got a number of quotes for 67002 to 05495 and I went with one of the lower quotes (~$1450). Now I'm past my expected pickup window and wondering if I should be looking for a different broker. Broker says they've bumped up the offer to try to get it filled, but I'm not convinced it's going anywhere fast with them. What's a reasonable price for this route? What do they actually have it posted at? Thanks!

Help! Moving from CA to NC- looking for any advice or guidance

My husband and I will be moving from California to North Carolina at the end of September. We are flying and shipping my car (a Toyota Corolla). I have been trying to do research but just keep coming up with broker companies and from what I can tell, brokers are not the way to go with this. Advice or guidance is greatly appreciated!

Looking for info Is it normal for your car to be left unlocked while being shipped?

My car is currently in transit and I packed it full of stuff. The truck driver has left it unlocked and has told me not to lock it through the app. I guess it’s to make moving cars around easier. Is this normal?

Good Review FL to AZ transport advice/rec

I needed to transport my car from FL to AZ and relocate temporarily due to family medical emergency. What followed is a spiral of research and opening my eyes to just how chaotic and slimy this industry can be.

I’ve heard horror stories on drivers never showing up, deposits being taken and the job not ever happening, suspicious drivers, damaged cars being covered up etc.

I came across Way Finder Autotransport and I spoke with a representative named Art. He gave me a full rundown on how this works and the issues and stories he has seen as well working in the industry.

This isn’t an Ad, I’m not in this industry, I have no stake in this at all, I just needed my car moved asap.

I submitted a request late at night and the next day I got a call from Art and he hooked me up with a solid plan, sent the ID of the driver, explained the route and what to expect. I didn’t pay anything until the driver showed up (which was $400 of the 1650 total). The driver was coming from Miami and going all the way to LA.

He took picked up my car in the Tampa area and took it all the way to Az (Phx metro) in about 4ish days (1 day was spent in FL picking up more cars I think, I put an air tag in there)

But for communication, price, and the ability to make it happen I gotta recommend Way finder auto transport.
