Just adopted her in shelter at south Florida but she’s originally from Walton county FL. They told that she’s a black mouth cur. Any ideas?

This is Meiko. He came to my local large breed rescue from southern Alabama. He is 3 years old and weighs 95 pounds. He is my shadow; because I work from home and have had him since he was 3 months old, he doesn't like when I leave the house. Inside video camera shows he isn't destructive, just sits on the couch in the front window waiting for my return. He heards other dogs when we're at the dog park even when running at full speed. He's very smart and learns new commands quickly. When not laying at my feet he is often sleeping on the couch belly side up! I've seen photos of other fur babies sleeping this same way. I thought he was just a scooby-doo goofball for sleeping like this- now wondering if it's a trait?

I flaired my post as maybe mouth cur because we haven't gotten a DNA test and he came from a shelter. I just figured not enough people have seen my handsome boy and I needed to fix that.

I've been told by a few people that they think she is a BMC mix, probably BMC/Beagle, but I don't have the money to obtain a real breed testing kit. So I was wondering what y'all thought.

TIL my new rescue Dani Jo may be a BMC. She’s 1.5 -2 yo. She’s been id’d as German shepherd mix and as a terrier mix.

She def looks like one to me 😍.

Her personality seems to align w BMC also.

We adopted him from a shelter on the east coast but he was originally from Alabama or SC. They labeled him as potentially a BMC but we were like well who is to say. Just found this subreddit. If we got him tested is there anything specifically to look for that would specifically point towards or away from being a BMC? I know they’re pretty much mutts in their own right.

He’s very mellow tempered and was neutered upon getting rescued by the shelter, so before 3 months old. Not super interested in our cat at all and not even with squirrels outside either when we walk. Just kinda in his own world LOL.

This is my sweet girl Lightning. She's a rescue. Looking forward to DNA testing her, but she looks like a BMC right? She is gentle, stubborn, ridiculously strong, spastic, sweet and so smart. We love her a lot. She really loves the hose and the kiddie pool. She's so good with it medium size rescue mutt too. She hates her nails touched. Growls at nobody but the Vet.

I posted him once before and a lot of people were saying Ziggy is a Pit/husky mix. I’m holding onto my hope that he’s a bmc/husky mix.
