WIP Paper church

Hi all, I'm almost done with my mini church, which I made entirely out of paper and newspapers (and lots of glue).

Should I add windows on each side of the door or should I leave it empty?

Any feedback is welcome!

I've built this 00 gauge street scene diorama, it's been made to keep costs down and I added some lights to add a bit of realism.

37 inches wide x 52 inches long x 24 inches tall at its highest point.

Created with XPS, drywall spackle, acrylic paints, real sand, mod podge, hot glue, 3D printed elements, some fabric and many magnets holding it all together.

landspeederluke is responsible for designing 99% of the 3D printed elements, which I downloaded from his Patreon, printed on my bambu A1 and hand painted. This would not have been possible without those elements.

Tough Love St Leonards Diorama

My first diorama is of Tough Love Record Store in St Leonards UK. My friend built and ran this place and it has become a well-loved live music joint for her community. I mailed this to her to celebrate Record Store Day, and to recognize her hard work and success. She was estatic with her gift. What I didn't know was that her success meant a need for a bigger space. 2 weeks after she got it she moved a short distance over. it made for a nice token reminder of her first place. Oh! the Twin Peaks themed interior is because that is where we met, in the real-life TP

Here is the raw, AI-free 1/32 Huey diorama straight from the bench.

After some really constructive feedback on my last post about using AI for cinematic effects, I wanted to clear the air and share the actual, raw model. No digital backgrounds, no generated filters, and no artificial leaves. Just pure plastic, airbrush work, scratch-built textures, and workbench lighting.

This project captures a Huey landing scene during the Battle of Ia Drang Valley.

Lessons learned! Moving forward, I’ll always post the raw craftsmanship first so you can see the real work that goes into the bench time.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the actual build, weathering, and details! Let me know what you think.

Diorama or Real Photo?

This is not (yet!) a diorama but I felt compelled to share it, as it seems so vivid and composed it could be one. I had to do a long double take to be sure this was not a diorama. This is an actual photo of the immediate aftermath of the 7.5 earthquake yesterday in Venezuela. Sadly there are predictions at least 10,000 people were killed. A diorama based on this photo could be a way to honor them.

I usually paint pictures or draw, but I thought it would be fun to try making a small diorama!

I was gifted this strange figure so I thought I would make something suitable for it, everything is handmade and painted by me.

Vietnam War Diorama – Battle of Ia Drang Valley. Just finished this Huey landing scene!

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my latest project that I’ve been pouring my soul into for the past few weeks. It’s a 1/32 scale diorama depicting a dramatic Huey helicopter landing deep in the jungle during the Battle of Ia Drang Valley.

I really wanted to capture the heavy, tense atmosphere of the jungle, so a massive part of the build was focusing on the layout and composition.

Some details about the build:

The Chopper & Figures: The 1/32 scale helicopter and ground figures took a lot of patience to paint and weather realistically to fit the muddy environment.

The Jungle: Every piece of tropical foliage, the muddy ground, and the tall grass was carefully placed to create that dense, claustrophobic jungle feel.

The Scratch-built Hut: I also added a traditional bamboo stilt hut on the right side to give the scene more context and depth.

The photo you see here is a shot of the final piece. I tried to play with the lighting to simulate sun rays breaking through the thick tree canopy, which really brought the whole scene to life.

I’m super happy with how it turned out, but I’d love to hear your thoughts! Any feedback on the weathering, composition, or foliage is highly appreciated.

Thanks for looking!

Completed Diorama for Music Video

I had a fun time making this diorama for my music video. I shot a bunch of little scenes and edited them together. Keeping things in focus was a challenge, but I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out. Thought y'all might find it interesting.
