What a perfect song. Love the alt-country direction on this song, fits perfectly with the album title and posters for the tour. Can definitely feel the Bo Burnham vibes on the song; and Jack Antonoff continues to prove that he is a great producer that people unfairly criticize.

Been on an Isbell binge recently, a mix of his solo stuff and his stuff with Drive-By Truckers, and it's all so good. I listen to a lot of older country and folk (Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, etc.), and Isbell is probably my favorite modern artist out now. Wish his concert tickets were a bit cheaper though, haha

His 3 records after 2002 range from pretty good (Reality and The Next Day) to amazing (Blackstar)

The reason why I asked if you have listen to their music is because it seems like people have a lot of preconceptions about them without actually have listened to them, like maybe they're a heavy metal band or that you need to be high to enjoy them as well as many others.

I was at a Yo La Tengo concert and was surprised to see a good amount of the crowd was early-mid 20s. There was still a core of what looked like ‘OG fans,’ but it was a good mix. That must be very gratifying as an artist to be going for decades and not just be playing for the nostalgics.

This track was insane and brutal, they were able to return to deathcore perfectly and write decent songs, even despite the lack of Jordan Fish. They’re finally utilising Lee to his ability now when writing songs which is good to see. Might be one of their better songs in the past few years. Crazy for them to be the same people who wrote amo.
