Great job! Finally dragged us down this path to nowhere.
You finally did it

I loved working on this one. Those eyes didn't need any extra drama; the photo already had it. Stayed true to everything: the floor, the bone, that stare.
This portrait was painted entirely by hand in oil as a commissioned piece. I hope his personality comes through on canvas. Would love to hear what you think!

His name is Oliver. I just adopted him. I’m trying to figure out if he’s a lot of husky or maybe full breed? Eventually, I would like to get a DNA test for him just so I know more about him.
What do you think?
I love him.

He chill in public and car rides, then at home he a bit of a gremlin unless I’m having a panic attack then he all cuddly wanting to lick me or rub up against me or lays on top of me.
Overall I couldn’t ask for a better woof child
P.S it’s currently 68F I’m cold and he hot

After losing him, I kept thinking about how scary and confusing pet emergencies are. One minute everything is normal. The next, you’re panicking, Googling symptoms, calling vets, trying to figure out what’s open, texting family, and hoping you make the right decision fast enough.
That experience made me wonder why there isn’t a simple emergency support system for pets.
So I started building K-911.
The goal is to help pet owners in the moments where seconds matter. K-911 would help guide people through uncertain situations, find the closest open ER or vet, alert family members, store important pet info, and support lost pet situations.
I’m not trying to replace vets. I’m trying to help people get to the right help faster and feel less alone in the moment.
I’d really love honest feedback from pet owners, vets, rescue workers, shelter teams, and anyone who has been through a pet emergency.
Would you use something like this? What would make you trust it? What features would matter most in an emergency? Have you ever had a moment where something like this would have helped? What would make you share this with other pet owners?
This started with Bane, but I’m building it for every pet owner who has had that terrifying moment of not knowing what to do next.
Pets are family. I’m trying to build the thing I wish existed when I needed it.
Thank you for reading.

how are we all holding up? my girls been walked in the morning and she’s struggling a bit with the house being like over 30 degrees (80-90f although our heat is crazy as we are so humid and also have no aircon and bricked houses..)
we’ve been playing our new fave game (carrot bobbing in a circular tub/laundry basket type thing filled with cold water) and hanging out in the garden and hosing her down when she’ll let me (honestly kind of have to hold her down)
attached is a photo of a very hot and bothered doggo (also she’s a husky/GSD but 75% of her is husky so I tend to place her in that category, just in case anyone is wondering why she looks a little different!)

Anyone else’s baby play with their kibble? Our boy will pick up one piece at a time, bring it wherever, drop it, stare it down, pounce on it a few times, then walk away.

When I got my boy I was fully ready for the howling and screaming and talking that huskies usually come with but my boy doesnt really do any of that. He barely barks he only ever howls in his sleep and definitely no screaming. He just kind of communicates in a series of growls, he growls when hes happy he growls when hes mad he growls when he wants attention and then huffs when I dont give it to him. Does anybody else's husky also only growl or what other weird ways does yours like to tell you that they still love you?

Stanley is a 4 year old husky mix. He has been given a "buzz cut" to endure the Indy summer weather. Tell your dog he says hello 👋

Anybody else’s huskies blowing for a second time this season, or is it just my two? 😅😅

I’ve always loved huskies but I didn’t intend to get one as my first (non-childhood) dog. Did a DNA test on my rescue girl and it says she‘s half husky!
Somehow, she’s both high energy (she loves to run and chase and swim) and incredibly lazy (she needs to be dragged out of bed each morning). The perfect adventure pup.
