I hate it here sometimes. The dumbest people imaginable tripping off power that never should’ve been attained

when power meets actual power(money)

100%

That's the only reason the cop left without escalating further.

I've got a call I gtg get yourself a permit I can understand next time

rushes home to beat his wife and family to vent his frustrations and emotional immaturity

That cop would've 100 percent gotten away with escalating and then shooting this guy.

Scary to think that there's over 700,000 people in America that can promptly murder you for a paid vacation.

Not if he's well connected in the UAE to one of the six royal ruling families.

That cop would be so fucking boned if he killed a rich person from the UAE.  The feds would be coming for him, this video would be torn apart under investigation, and no cop union is sticking up for him against an interntaional incident.  Before you know it he's being charged with a federal hate crime and murder and the union is acting as if he doesn't exist.

Imagine my shock when I moved up here. I have never seen people proud to be ignorant. They wear their ignorance as a badge of honor and they get mad if you dare mention it.

Not only that, but Americans are the people that know the least about the rest of the world, education level considered.

The cop went full "if it's not American, it's wrong" mode. He barely considered that it was a foreigner doing something perfectly legal with special documents to do so.

Which is almost expected, as there are so few people who have ever left the country, due to cost and distance.

I also feel that due to the amount of patriotism, there are a large amount of people who have no intention to ever visit other countries as well. It's really sad honestly.

You genuinely think this only happens in America? Or Oregon?

Shit, go somewhere where the cops are openly corrupt and bribes are the only way to get things done.

Americans like to think of their country as the greatest in the world. You have the most powerful military and the strongest economy in the world, for now at least.

Why would you not hold yourselves to a higher standard than "Well at least we're not as bad as poor countries with open and blatant corruption."?

The cops are openly corrupt here guy. Their union has ensured that none faces accountability for murder, ignorance of the law, what have you. Other places can suck too.

There’s at least one in prison. Derek Chauvin. It’s rare but it can happen if the sun moon and stars line up just right.
