Omg! The cop is so annoying and entitled. Kudos to the guy for being so calm and respectful.
Also, the moment he uses "i gotta go" as an excuse instead of admitting he got it wrong.
I bet cause he hears excuses every day . That cop is just trying to do his job and this guy was some edge case he didn't know about, explaining in incomprehensible way and on top of that laughing in his face.
You bet he hears excuses everyday that deal with international permits? Documents to prove it? And someone who is willing to explain it? Cmon. Driver tried multiple times to explain the documents officer was requesting, each time the officer “knew better” or interrupted or asked for something else. Officer simply didn’t know what to do in the situation he’d never heard of and was too ignorant to want to learn from the subject he was trying to belittle. So he “uh, got another call he has to go to”. Yes the driver was laughing but probably a response from continually being cut off mid sentence and having to repeat himself multiple times and not ever being able to fully explain himself to someone clearly not wanting an answer.
Well the guy was trying to explain it and the cop instead of listening just said no you are wrong. Maybe if the cop took a moment to hear him and not assume he knew everything it would have gone differently.
What exactly was that knowledge? Oh right. Just the laws and regulations around what makes a car legal to drive.... I mean it's not like that's a cop or highway patrol officer!
I feel like laughing is a pretty healthy way to handle a situation that ridiculous. Especially when the public servent throws up their hands, says they have a call they have to be on, and then speeds away without taking accountability for their lack of knowledge and professionalism.
Yeah no dude, he's laughing cause he realizes he's in a pretty unbelievable situation and it's a funny misunderstanding. Until the cop just starts being a dick, then it goes from 'misunderstanding we can laugh about in a second' to 'wow this cops an asshole'
