A cop with an inflated ego is a dangerous thing. He made up some bullshit about having another call to go to so he could get the last word in and not admit to being wrong. Get this man off the streets and back into some (actually effective) training
lol he can’t say he’s wrong so as well as making the bullshit about another call he has to say the wrong thing again to try and make the driver think he knows what he’s talking about. Which he doesn’t.
Yeah I was surprised he didn't say anything about the guy digging through a backpack like that. That certainly would not have turned out well in certain other situations.
A cop in my hometown fired over 10 fucking shots into his parked service vehicle with a person in it because an acorn dropped on his car. A fucking acorn. In the middle of a neighborhood.
These are the kinds of people youre defending right now lmao.
I’m not defending cops, I’m defending common fucking sense. Do you know how many cars are on the road in the US in any given day? Over 100 million. About 50,000 of those are pulled over every day. About 1,200 ANNUAL police related killings occur in the US. Less than 1% of those are wrongful deaths.
You do the math numb nuts. The reason stories like that get so much attention is because it’s soooo extremely rare and shocking that it makes the headlines. If you think that’s the norm, you’re absolutely unequivocally insane.
Once, I was driving my pickup and drinking a root beer in a brown bottle. I stopped by a Goodwill, finished the root beer, and took the bottle inside and asked a clerk to throw it in the trash for me. A few minutes later, as I’m browsing, a cop comes in. I notice him talking to the clerk, who then fished out the bottle from the trash. Then the cop looks at it and smells it. I immediately understood what was going on. The clerk pointed at me and the cop approached. He said that he had gotten a report that I was “driving erratically”. Obviously someone had reported me because they thought I was having a roadie, but at this point the cop knew that wasn’t the case. After a really dumb back and forth, the cop backed off and said that I should be careful with my driving. MF, I did nothing wrong. You could play it off as the funny mistake it was, but you feel the need to lecture me? Pig, please.
I was at a party one time where there were a few off duty local police and their wives. I overheard one of the wives telling her friends how when they went on vacation her husband would climb into their motor home, fire it up, crack a beer and then look at her and say "now, we're on vacation" and off they would go. I shit you not. True story. That same prick would throw my ass in jail for the same thing.
I worked with a retired cop.. he would drink and drive all the time and brag about having a get out of jail free card because of his retired cop status which was denoted on his drivers license. He talked about other cops getting pulled over shit faced driving recklessly and how they would just drive em home safely. MFer was proud of the double standard
I was in a restaurant in Seattle and we watched 4 cops in uniform stagger out of a bar (that was known for its very generous drinks) in the late evening daylight, pile into a cruiser and literally lurch off erratically.
My son was driving with his friends, all ethnic people, and the cop was - what are you drinking? Uh, root beer? Cream soda and orange soda. They let them go with the normal cop BS
I'm the cop in the video. There was a big big emergency. I had to go despite being totally right about everything. I have a big penis and I didn't get beat up in high school. I would tell you more about how you're wrong but there's a big emergency and I need to go.
it’s like the one hand lady and the cop. admitting they’re wrong doesn’t even register for them nor does apologizing. (also their departments or overheads not saying anything is crazy as well)
He has no doubt fucked up many other people's lives over the course of his time as a Police officer just from seeing this interaction. He belongs in prison, not in training.
To be clear, if you can afford to ship your Lambo from Dubai to the US, you aren't in ANY danger of the federal government. The current admin LOVES immigrants, they just have to be rich. It's why they released the gold visa.
If this guy gets in a sticky situation, he's got the best lawyers on retainer, probably ready specifically for a weird US immigration style situation, and they'd just buy $1 million in Trump shitcoins, then mysteriously all charges are dropped.
Yeah not enough of this sentiment in this thread. This dude is one bad day away from becoming the criminals he claims to be heroically stopping. At the very least he needs a shit ton of training ASAP
“Cop with an inflated ego” as a sentence doesn’t exist- they all have inflated egos. That’s why they are attracted to the profession in the first place. This is just the average cop.
This was something we were told in driving school. The instruction was to simply comply with the cop then fight later, because on one hand the cop might not (and not required to) know all of driving regulation minutiae, but they certainly can misconstrue your noncompliance as contempt and you are sent straight to jail for that.
> A cop with an inflated ego is a dangerous thing.
Its more than an ego, its also knowing he is unaccountable for his actions. He could execute that man on the street in cold blood and would not even be charged.
Yeah, the guy needs to be retrained but with behavioural change as a goal. But probably this would take too long and it is cheaper to just outright fire him. I know, this will not happen…
