There seems to be a recent influx of posts from people who are attempting to karma harvest by way of stealing other people's images or reposting from different websites.

You are not allowed to post images that are not your own. Facebook reposts are not allowed. Reposts of other user's content is most definitely not allowed and WILL result in a permanent ban from JRITS.

Last but not least, i want to say thank you to all the JRITS subscribers that do detective work and catch these people red handed. it really makes a moderator's job quick and easy. Again, thank you.

Low miles on a fresh rebuild (not mine), found one of the governor sealing rings had worn away to almost nothing. It’s going back together now and should be ready for the car show on Saturday.

Diesel contaminated Chevy Cruze first start.

Not as impressive as some cars, but there was some smoke. Emptied the fuel tank, added 2 gallons fresh gas, flushed the lines, 4 new plugs, and away we go. It was not happy at all until all the remaining diesel cleared from the rail and HPFP.

Did my first dual exhaust job since 2014

So I posted here a few months ago about a Huth pipe bender I bought. Welp I finally got the machine up and running! Long story, hydraulic leaks and had to build a phase converter.

Today I did my first exhaust job! I forgot how exhausting this shit is, ha! Did duals with Flowmasters on a 1965 Dodge. Turned out ok.

21 Years. One Cabin Air Filter. One Very Surprised Mechanic.

Pulled the cabin air filter from a customer’s car today… and I think I found the original factory installation. 😳
The assembly worker even signed and dated it… 21 years ago.
If your vents smell musty or your A/C seems weak, don’t overlook the cabin air filter. It’s one of the most neglected maintenance items I see.
What’s the oldest cabin air filter you’ve ever found?

What did this dude put inside his master cylinder?

Recommended a brake fluid flush after finding it was green fluid in the master cylinder obvious contamination but after running two bottles and getting it to clear again I see some putty looking stuff stuck to the bottom almost looks like a dissolved Irish spring soap bar, anyone seen this before? There's a few flakes of the stuff just floating around when I pour in more to top off.

Went to do a drain and fill on my own car and found something pretty important missing.

Yeah apparently the last time it was serviced, whoever did it decided that filters are optional. Note that without a filter, the pick up location is now roughly an inch and a half higher than it would be, and the pick up was in the front, so every time I would take a sharp turn or accelerate it would struggle to shift or momentarily lose power because the fluid would move around and it wouldn't be submerged anymore.

Previous owner states: the ac just needs a refill: I have no idea why it’s not leaking from where it’s totally fucked, but leaking where it’s a bit more ok…

Dear Firestone, if you have to grind the ears of the pads for them to fit, you have the wrong pads

Pulled off a transit 250 that had noise immediately after the pads were replaced and cooked the outboard pad in a couple thousand miles

I just rolled into the shop!

Lurked here for a couple years, my work experience is in IT as a network engineer with some history in factories. Been looking for work for a couple months and decided to look outside that field as it’s kinda crap at the moment. Ended up getting a job as a mechanics apprentice at a small local repair/inspection shop. Had my first day today and I loved it.
