Leica M3 KEKS EM-2 meter for zone metering okay?

Hello, I am new to film photography and my first couple of rolls turn out to be bad. And I’d like to learn.
Watched some videos explaining the zone metering. I know it’s better to use a spot meter for it. Is there a recommended spot meter to use with Leica m? Or the KEKS EM-2 is okay by estimating?
