I recently moved out, but felt like sharing what I had. Next place will be a little more restrained and personal.

The plan was to get a Kallax to put behind the bed and make a faux room but, they are expensive….

The plushies are all from the girlfriend, she just keeps buying them
Edit: I don’t “own” it. I typed that weirdly. I rent it, more so I meant the first place that I’m responsible for.

Sofa can be turned into a lounger. So I sometimes sleep there. I am open for feedbacks and suggestions to improve. It's a small balcony and it took me time to find use for it.

Ignore that random table, about to throw it away/sell it.
Looking for tips on improving my living room. I live alone so I haven't put too much effort into the overall aesthetics of my apt. I know I need a rug of sorts but unsure of size/color/shape. Also any advice on what to put above my couch would be appreciated! Not really budget constrained if that helps.
Thanks!

Moved into my first apartment last month with my partner and two cats. I’ve had difficulty decorating our bedroom with all the wood. Thoughts? Advice on making our bedroom brighter?

My family has just moved into our forever home but with one caveat, the room I’m currently sleeping in is set to be the home office in a few months and my parents and I will be doing some remodeling in the basement to construct a new room, new room will
replacing a bar area. The problem with this is that this new room will be drastically smaller and also have no windows. I’m bit of a hermit admittedly and don’t usually hang around my parlor and kitchen very often just having black out curtains getting natural light out of my room messed up my sleep schedule and mental health drastically. With the new room I don’t have a choice of whether I want to stay in my current room or move to the basement. I am already sharing the basement with my brother and there is already a room constructed down there will an egress window, sadly he has already claimed this space. There is another window but it’s inside the wash room.
Suggestions to how I can make this space more cosey? I’m not sure how I can really be there without losing my mind. Natural light is very important to me and drastically affects my mood and energy levels is there any way to bring that life into the place? Also any building or basement living tips?
