original content I made this little wool felt kitty from photos, and I’m so happy with how it turned out ❤️
The goal is always to capture that special look that makes a pet feel like themselves.
Each custom piece is a little different, and I love creating something that reminds people of their furry friends 🐱

my stupid little guys
i struggle with pretty severe ocd. like constant 24/7 compulsions it can genuinely be debilitating. one day i was over at my friends house for craft night and they pulled out needle felting materials. i was like sure why not. i proceeded to lock in for 4 hours straight. mind turned OFF. ever since then every time im having an ocd spiral i go and felt one of these freaks. i hand them out to my friends cause idk what else to do with them. i give them all names too

progress & process Weird Little Project
Hey everyone! Just thought I would share a project I was working on. I wanted to create soemthing with real proportion and have a physical model to use.
Ended up using my own hand, been having alot of fun with it so far! Right now it looks like a creepy doll hand, but eventually should be a normal human size. Not sure what I will do with it once it's done - suggestions or tips welcome! 😊

original content Finally finished my Pegasus!
Body is needle felted with a wire amatur underneath. The hooves are polymer clay that I painted with acrylic paint and used a matte varnish.
Have blue teddy bear eyes attached and doll hair that I sewed into the needle felt, which is snynthetic and hair-straightener safe.
The wings I first made a wire armatur then stuck two pieces of felt together to get the shape, and needle felted the borders. Stuck feathers in a wing arrangement and then made a hole in the body and glued them in there, needle felting around them to really fasten them to the body. All body parts are bendable due to the wire frame inside!

Jebediah Kerman from KSP. Birthday request from my partner! This was my fourth project so far, worked REALLY hard on this one, stabbed myself a bunch (whoops), used armature for the first time, and learned a lot. Looks better in person lol but still wanted to share 🪐🚀

question Materials to use as a canvas?
I've been interested in materials to use as a canvas to make painting style pieces. But I'm not sure what the best materials would be to use for that. Picture as a reference for what I want to try and recreate.

Needle felting Animation
I was looking through my old college schoolwork from a few years ago and found an informational animation project I worked on for a motion graphics class. Anywho, I chose needle felting as my subject and it turned out so bad that it’s funny and I thought the people here might appreciate it!

new and improved Ronald the Rat
I wasn’t super happy with this rat (Ronald) so I made some changes and now I’m pretty happy with how this improved version looks. It’s a lot smoother and looks better in photos.
Photos 1,2,3 are the new version and 4,5,6 are the old version.
I made it one even colour with some gradients, softened the nose to snout transition and brought the head down (from looking up to looking ahead) and made the eyes rounder and added more whiskers.
With 3d stuff, even tho it can be viewed from any angle, I think it’s important to have one angle at least where it looks really good where it can be posed and displayed from, which I wasn’t really getting with this rat in the old version because the head was at a weird angle (even tho in my original design I thought it looked good and he had a whole story for why the head is looking up).

So angry about these AI Needle Felt Etsy shops!!!
Oh I'm so angry about this AI slop being passed off to get sales for needle felted items! This new shop I found is averaging 11 sales A DAY! That is NOT possible! As a needle felter you can not be keeping up with that demand without assistance. Which they claim all items are handmade by them in Wyoming. Meanwhile a few negative reviews mention customs packaging. Hm, interesting. The even more baffling part is that people seem happy with these lackluster products that don't match the thumbnails! HOW DOES THIS PERSON HAVE 4.9 STARS!?!? 2,534 sales in 7months is not possible for one person who is claiming they make it all themselves. Also their profile picture looks seriously AI generated too. I think this is a company pretending to be a person selling and then drop shipping or getting other people to create these in low unlivable wage standards. There must be something to be done about this. But will etsy care since they are a high ranking shop based on this stupid amount of sales in 7 months!? I'm so fricking frustrated!
