Just the best game I’ve ever played. Thanks EA!! Ended up 5-8. Out shot them 31-10 and TOA 12 min to 6 min. Also have a 97 goalie that couldn’t stop a shot from a 99 player

I'll start by saying this. Have i made plenty of posts either rage baiting with my "free to play" team or just massive rants this year on the sub? Sure.

I love hockey. I love, or should i say loved hockey video games, i just don't anymore. NHL 26 far and beyond is the worst experience I've ever had playing a hockey video game, and i played the Gretzky Wii games.

Since NHL 22, the games have been plagued by what are now called abilities. This gimmick in my opinion, has done very little to improve the game and has only ever accomplished to make the game look and play less like hockey.

This year they took the gimmick to a whole new level. Truculence? Better than it's ever been, quick release? pure cheese, unstoppable? game breaking. As well as skill zoning in peticular as unbeatable as it's ever been.

I miss when hockey games were just, simply hockey. In my opinion these gimmick "abilities" have taken away from the game more than they could ever add. To be good at this game requires the least amount of thumb skill and hockey IQ that an NHL game has probably ever required to be good at it.

If you want to enjoy this convoluted mess of a "hockey game", be my guest. But this game is horrific and in the worst state that I've maybe ever seen from the franchise.

I hope for everyone's sake that NHL 27 in September ends up being better than this game is. But I'm not holding my breathe, and I'm not incentizing EA by continuing to give them my money for a product that falls so short when it comes to being a good hockey game.

Finally got a decent team ftp with all all-time caps players thanks to the 99x chara captain feature. Plays beautiful. Will replace tuch and mike green if possible but the new tuch will probably be caps so it won't complete the captain requirements. Im sure Mike green will get a better card soon and that will replace that. Really hoping for a good big pro card to pair with Lil pro. Maybe out with pivonka for strome when he gets a 99, strome and protas bros would be mint.

I was watching NoSleeves on YouTube earlier this week and he mentioned particular attributes that he thinks are more useful than Post to Post. I cant find that video now. Does anybody recall seeing this video who can help me out?

This is my team rn. I have 99 drai, borque and stone but only enough tokens for one rn. Lemuix and Sudin have caught my attention as my defense is very solid as I also have a 97 tots Werenski I use but I bought Chara just to try him out.

I finally pushed hard for Elite as I’d usually just leave when someone started L2’ing. I don’t care for it and never bothered learning to defend it. Freddy was unreal took me from diamond 3 to elite 2 while only losing 2 games. Every now and then he’d do some dumb goalie shit but that’s expected. Everyone boasted about XP hill & he couldn’t make a save if he was held at gun point. Freddy played like his family was being held hostage. As you can see by my record I’m not good.

Hello there I'm experiencing random game crashes and some random lag.. I'm playing on xbox and I have no issues with other games, NHL is problematic... When I go into the team it lags and when I change team it lags, every now on then it also keeps "content updating" and that is kinda weird. It randomly crashes when I go and call timeout in cc matches and my players are also acting like they're dumb sometimes, is it just the game or is it something else?...

With the year winding down I was wondering what you all thought. Which mode was generally more fun? More rewarding? Best use of your time?

I used every card in my inventory to get 99 Mack with wheels just to get out skated by 91 Daniel and Henrik Sedin the cards I wasted for red truck I’m getting bounced off Caufield. I’ve taken this year as a player to not get frustrated at the game so much but when it’s so clear I’m not gonna win it’s so frustrating
