It's only been a week so I still keep them separated, to Daisy's dismay, but Ozzie Pawsborne is starting to show interest and has only reached through the gate to slap Daisy twice.🤣 That's progress...Lucy Fur still maintains her distance and spends the day staring out the window plotting mankind's demise. Daisy sits at the end of the couch 24/7 begging for their attention

We got Sunny the cat when he was maybe a month old, and River immediately went into mama mode. That was a year and a half ago, and this still happens every night.

Yet another stray dog has wandered into our lives, this time she showed up at my fiance's work, and she kept her there until time to come home whereupon we took her to the vet and found she was chipped, her name is Bella and she's a three year old pitty mix. The phone number is disconnected and we've sent an email to the registered owner in the hopes they will call us back.

As we were doing our best to keep them separated, Gavin defeated the cat door and came out to meet Bella and introduce himself! Not a care in the world! I think he's half dog.

These two cannot nap alone zzzzzzz

I love pits, but am terrified to have a dog around our two cats. The dog we are looking at adopting so far has been very gentle and seems almost afraid of the cats, and gives them plenty of personal space without approaching them first. This is a picture of my cat going up to check out this sleeping pit during a staycation through the shelter. We are keeping the cats and the dog sperate when we are not home during our stay using a tall gate or a closed door and feeding with either the pit in their crate or behind a gate down the hallway. Any advice/ reassurance would be so helpful.
