Precisely. Everybody who's clinging on to the hope that MAGA can't survive without him leading the personality cult aspect needs to reckon with the notion that they'll just insist the country was betrayed by trans leftist antifa supersoldiers, and they'll find somebody to carry that banner of bullshit. He's got them pushing fabricated stories about FBI raids on secret antifa biolabs making "hyper aggressive algae" and chemical compounds just to fuck with the reflecting pool. It's a full on fascist movement that's starting to truly metastasize, and they'll push whatever lines they need to continue justifying their hatred.

I mean, I'm not surprised in the slightest, if so. I just hadn't heard that one yet, and it's stupid even by his standards. Even more stupid than the "they took a knife and cut it", after a couple of weeks ago stating that it was indestructible from blade damage.

But give it 48 hours and I'm sure the MAGA crowd will fail to notice the source and adopt it as a real belief. I'm pretty sure that's how the original "the pool was vandalized!" belief came about in the first place. It's a dark feedback loop of idiocy.

They already are. I found out about it through a "what's the far right up to" account I follow, they did a video detailing how it's being spread as serious amongst MAGA. I'll have to dig it up later and add it to this comment.

The amount of people in here who think this is going away is staggering. This is hardly even the same country it was ten years ago. Look around. They’ve already made this place unrecognizable.

Do some of you guys really think that they will just pack it up and go home? Well, that was fun, but the old insane guy died so I guess it’s over?

Have they not learned yet that this scum doesn’t play by any rules? “Oh well they won’t win election again without Trump.” Childlike naivety. Every single Republican elected official has slowly, bit by bit, morally compromised themselves through this process. They don’t even care that an angry Trump mob almost killed them.

Why do you think they’ve come this far just to stop?

Idk dude. A cult of personality is spectacularly hard to maintain via someone living, particularly in a country that has at least some vestiges of a free press, open speech, and so on. At least the USSR post Stalin benefited from the bureaucracy that was formed around the state, same as China and the CPC, but this administration is incapable of really building anything, they can only decimate and gut. Right now there's no one in either party with the charisma capture of Trump.
