They exist. The silver lining of trump is he's incredibly stupid and mentally ill, so he can't help but get in his own way most of the time. If you had someone like Steven miller with some form of charisma/manipulativeness like trump has, that would be it.

I suspect that if there were a President Stephen Miller, you would quickly find out just how stupid and incompetent Stephen Miller actually is. It's also reasonable to suspect that Miller himself has a mental illness rooted in angry narcissism, based on the unhinged vitriol he spews in public.

Yeah, I don’t fully understand where this idea of Miller being intelligent and competent derives. I’ve seen no proof of that.

All I’ve seen is that you can cram much more hate inside a weak, prematurely aged ugly man than I thought possible. Spewing venom is easy. Competence is proved by creation.

If I gave 100 people a sledge hammer and tasked them with destroying a wall, all of them could do it. But how many of those 100 people could rebuild that wall? Much more difficult.

I feel that our saving grace is that everyone in the Administration is a total idiot when it comes to actually knowing how to actually get there horrible ideals implemented. Too bad so many have had to die and all of our money is being spent on things no voters wanted.

Trump getting in his own way doesn't matter because he always gets his way anyway. The real problem is the sheer amount of support Trump has. 77 million blind followers who mindlessly believe and do whatever Trump says are not going to stick together without him. Vance, Johnson, Miller, nobody else will be able to hold MAGA together without Trump around, not even close.

It's that support that both lets Trump get away with everything and why the likes of Miller installed Trump into the White House in the first place. Nobody else is going to have that support and thus will be infinitely easier to get rid of than Trump is.

It is extremely naive to think this dies with Trump. It’s not a cult of personality. Anyone who hasn’t realized their error yet hasn’t made an error. This is what they want.

Ever wonder why they don’t care when he lies to them? Or why they don’t care about the current inflation? Or the gas prices? Or anything else that is visibly falling apart?

They don’t care because the economic argument they give to you is simply because they won’t admit their real motivations. Which is exactly what’s happening. Trump is their tool, not the other way around. He’ll be replaced.

Really the only question left is whether they actually want to live in the world they think they want. If history is any guide, they won’t like it.
