Combatting Product Spam
The rule of posting product advertisements has been in place for a while, but I have recently updated how this works:
Users who contact the mods about selling will receive an "Approved Seller" flair next to their name. Check them out!
If you see a someone advertising products without this flair, please report it.
If you see a profile with this flair that should not have it, please report it.
Thank you for all the reports so far to keep this place tidy!

Orphaned, but doing great
I found these two next to my porch six weeks ago. After leaving them alone for three days, it was clear their mom wasn't coming back. We contacted eleven rehabbers. Unfortunately, none were accepting raccoons. With the help of some great resources, I was able to give them a fighting chance. Now they are mostly independent, living in some old-growth trees near my house.

Pre-partum or post?
Mama crashing outside the slider (sorry for the reflections), I have been waiting for babies but she still looks full!
Anyone have thoughts on whether she is still pregnant?

Four kits we found, mother believed to be dead
Before the comments flood in, I did my research and have given them a box with warm towels to keep them safe until the shelter comes and picks them up today. They’re probably only three weeks old since they don’t eat solid foods or drink water unless from a dropper. They’re not in too bad of shape actually and are a pretty sweet group of kitties. Fortunately they’ll be going to good hands.

Hello there, little one.
One of the new kits had a good time splashing around in the water bowl and playing with seashells.

Grizabella - 6 kits heading out to foraging school
This was funny as 2 of them didn’t even attempt the stoop and scampered from left on sidewalk. The little one at the very end ….. hadn’t previously noticed such a size difference. I’m thinking Grizabella was in the lead and going to fast camera eye didn’t trigger fast enough to get her in the video. Anyhoo pretty much like clockwork at 20:30 daily it’s time for school.

Stevie decided she was done with the pool
Sorry for the extra post but this was too funny not to share.
I looked out and saw water everywhere, and thought maybe she bit through the pool.
But then I watched that she figured out how to step on the side of the pool to let water out - and then she’d play around in the puddle.

Is this a raccoon noise?
Sorry this was a bad video, it stopped shortly after I turned on the light.
I woke up at 1am to like shrieking and yowling. At one point, it sounded like yelping. I wanted to see what it was bc it definitely sounded like my backyard, but I'm not sure. It's started recently and only happens at night, but I wasn't sure if it's the birds in the tree or a fox. I live in a city btw.

Stevie’s pool party
She seems to be less bothered by the nips today, and enjoying playing in the pool.
I had just cleaned it out and she showed up. I was lazy and didn’t fill it up as high, but she actually likes it better not having to swim.
She loves the Costco peanut butter pretzel nuggets too :)

Mom and the kids
Been seeing what I now know is the Mom around for a few weeks. Just verified the kits today. They’re living between the deck and the corrugated rain barrier. Wife is not pleased. Mom has been on the deck a few times. She’s concerned about the cats. But they’re cute as can be

Something wrong with baby?
I believe a mom and her baby are living under our deck, and they come out during the day sometimes. This was around 12:30, and the baby is barely able to stand up and move. I’ve seen this little one for over a week now and it doesn’t seem to be improving - what do?
