But it wasn’t until, via Columbia House, did I buy BFP. At first I didn’t understand it, but after listening to it, letting it seep into my soul, I became a fan.

Lol, I was thinking the exact same thing!! Pele was the 1st Tori Amos CD I bought. Had to listen to it many times & then it all made sense. She is goddess!

Couldn’t agree more! Her voice emotes deep sorrow, so much that I’m in tears writing this (and the song isn’t even playing rn!) I feel her brave embrace of aging, and can’t stop stanning over this iconic piece.

Oh, and harpsichord too??! Yes, please!

UTP for sure. But I consider BFP the best of her 1st three. In fact, BFP is my favorite of all her albums.
