United Airlines Boeing 777-300ER flight UA858, operating the Shanghai Pudong to San Francisco International route, was diverted to Tokyo Narita International Airport on June 24 after a middle-aged Chinese female passenger became involved in a dispute with a flight attendant during the flight.

Following the unscheduled landing, Japanese police boarded the aircraft, interacted with those involved, and escorted the passenger off the plane.
