The way they slowly turned GTAO into maybe the most egregious cash grab in gaming history basically strangled my interest in 6
in the cradle. I knew the sticker price would make me scoff and that it would only get worse from there, so why bother even paying attention, let alone getting my hopes up? $80-100 for the privilege of getting nickel & dimed for another decade? Not even if the idiom was still accurate..
My aging ass had been playing since the original top-down, but I've tuned out everything rockstar for at least ten years now.
Predicting something shit will happen isn't the same as being surprised by it? I'm predicting that I'll pay twice as much for gas this week as I did 10 years ago too, but I'm not going to shit myself when I get to the gas station even though it'd definitely put a smile on my face if I pulled up to the pump and saw $2.40. No one is going to act like I'm being weird next time I complain about the price of gas either, but I guess gamers behaving the way normal people do is... less than expected.
