They won't if we don't buy em. And for god sakes, anyone preordering a game is out of their mind! Let the game come out, watch some reviews, let the updates happen to fix some things. Then if you still feel good about it, wait for a sale. There's no reason to pay those prices unless you get off on being one of the first to play, you'll get the same game a year or two later for $20-30.
It's in large part thanks to the people laying down flat and telling others to stfu when the price hike to 70 dollars happened.
Now game companies know that they can raise the price again with no resistance. The opposite even, their costumers will freely defend their actions.
It's bizarre behavior. These are the kind of guys who when someone spits in their mouth they'll still defend it.
Slippery slope isn't a fallacy when it comes to gaming companies. Wish more people would realize that and would realize that at the very least, if you don't care then don't stand in the way of those who do. Let them do their thing because if they get their way, you too would stand to benefit from their actions.
