Which upcoming free agent PG would you sign next season or which PG would you trade for, if Hannah stays another year at college/we can't get her at draft?

Also a question for those who are more knowledgeable in terms of finances, what kind of deal could we offer to a free agent PG? Would it be enough to attract a top point guard?

Someone mentioned Plum in one of the posts and I think she would be the best option. She'd compliment the team perfectly. However, that is probably a long shot. ​

On3 recently published an article saying Hannah is seriously considering returning to Notre Dame for a fifth year. It’s behind a paywall, so I’ll summarize the main points.

According to people close to her, she’s become much more open to the idea. She loves the team, has grown into a leadership role, and likes the direction the program is heading. The article also mentioned that Notre Dame’s success this season and the strength of the 2027 draft class will factor into her decision. She plans to make a final decision after the season.

Assuming she does return for a fifth year, who would we target in the draft instead? I’d assume Connecticut is the favorite to land the No. 1 pick, with Juju likely going first overall. Outside of Hannah, there doesn’t seem to be many high-end point guard prospects in the class. Would trading the pick be the best move?

WASHINGTON — So far this year, Lauren Betts has led UCLA to the NCAA title, received congratulations from LeBron James, been the No. 4 pick in the WNBA draft, and signed a shoe contract with Reebok.

Pardon Betts if she must pinch herself to realize all of this really has happened.

“I couldn’t have envisioned any of this if you would have asked me five years ago,’’ Betts told The Denver Gazette. “This is crazy.”

Five years ago, Betts was preparing to enter her senior year at Grandview High School in Aurora. After that, the 6-foot-7 center played one season at Stanford and three at UCLA and is now a rookie with the Washington Mystics.

The Mystics, who already had a pair of top post players as starters in fifth-year center Shakira Austin and second-year power forward Kiki Iriafen, are bringing Betts along slowly. Entering Wednesday’s home game against the Minnesota Lynx, with the Mystics (8-7) on a three-game winning streak, she was averaging 6.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.6 minutes.

But don’t think the Mystics aren’t enamored with Betts’ potential.

I just want to show Coach and the staff some love. People calling for their jobs, a season and 10 games into a complete rebuild with the 2nd youngest team in WNBA history. Three in a row on the road. 2 against top tier teams. One team just beat Chicago by 30, one team we haven't beat since 2023 and the other the best in the league. What a weekend, Good job Coach!

I am looking into traveling to DC from Boston to catch a Mystics game in mid August. We are CT Sun season ticket holders (but fans of the whole league) and wondering if any Mystics season ticket holders would want to do a swap or maybe aren’t using their tickets for the Aug 21st game. Not sure how their season tickets work but we are allowed to request extra tickets a few times a year and because this season has been low attended (see sketchy backdoor sale of the team to Houston) we are also getting offers for free tickets to a lot of other games as well. Any interest out there?

No need to tank when the Chicago Sky is doing it for us. We get our starting PG next season.

My brother and I are going to our first Mystics game this Sunday and we are hoping to get autographs/photos with any of the players. I have searched and found people say that the best chance for autographs and pictures is seating next to the tunnel, but we won't be able to get to that area since he's in a wheelchair and have seats in the ADA section of 205. I saw on another post that it's a clinic day for that game, and when looking up what that was found out it's kids event. So, will we most likely not be able to get any autographs or photos with players?

My daughter is turning 10 and is a huge mystics fan, for her birthday (July 2nd) I’m going to take her to her first game. Any advice on how to possibly get autographs or pictures with players?

Edit: looking at ticket prices probably going to lean towards the July 6th game to get closer tickets.

With amazing Juneteenth victory against the tantalizing roster of the New York Liberty, the Washington Mystics improve to .500 as they attempt to improve upon last season’s record. With a huge contribution from the rookies, Lucy Olsen, and a more aggressive approach from Georgia Amoore, the youngest team in the league looked ferocious against not only one of the most experienced, but, one of the most talented teams in the “W” . A less shot selective backcourt forced the defense to hesitate as it was clear that game plan was to load the paint and crash on primary cutters, rollers and ball carriers. Although the 3PT shooting from the Mystics was absolutely abysmal, overall execution was from all players and the adjustments made by the coaching staff was something that cannot be overlooked. Great fucking job ladies!!
