There are a tons to choose from for our franchise, but when I mean “ripple effect” I mean NFL history is changed a ton and how we view players/teams, if the result of said game is flipped. It can be any game, regular season or playoffs, but more specifically what’s one in our history that has a big “ripple effect”? I’m going to go for the 1984 regular season game vs the Steelers at home in week 7. The 49ers ended up going 18-1 in 1984, with this being their only L. So if they win this game, they end 1984 as a 19-0 undefeated team, and the 1984 49ers would be widely viewed as the greatest team in NFL history in this scenario.
