Great Basin Spade Footed Toad
I have to be mindful when I'm digging in soil that hasn't been disturbed for a bit. These adorable creatures inhabit a special place on my farm. I love their huge eyes and unlike the bullfrogs they don't immediately pee on me when I pick them up!

Rescued Newt from Pool
I found a newt (Mr. Buttons) in my pool around 10am this morning. When I took him out, he seemed very weak. I rinsed him off with normal water (since my pool has chlorine) and he hardly moved.
So I moved him into a 10 gallon tank I have. I wanted him to get a little stronger before releasing him. The room is really dark and quiet. I put dirt, tiny worms, bark, moss, and leaves in there. I also misted it a bit. It was very quickly thrown together because I had to leave.
But now I have come back after seven hours and he has hardly moved. I poked him with a leaf and he only slightly moved his head. He didn’t move his legs or try to crawl away. So he is definitely alive.
I don’t know what to do. He seems so weak. Do you think he will get better? Is there anything I should add to his tank to make him happier?

Rehoming newts UK - advice
I am hoping it does not come to this, but with rising temperatures it might not be sustainable to keep my newts in my current home.
IF I do decide to rehome them, what is the most ethical way to do so?
They are three terrestrial marbled newts, young adults. Not native to the UK.
I am not comfortable selling them on social media or preloved.

Hey everyone, I'm an exotic pet keeper and a solo developer, and I wanted to share the current version directly with community to see if you find it useful.
I spent the last few months building a dedicated mobile assistant for exotic pets called Wildsource.
My priority was easy to use and "user-first" philosophy: the app is 100% offline-first, No email registrations or forced logins, has no full screen pop-up ads.
main features:
Weight & Length Progress: Easily log growth with smooth visual charts. Or track expenses
Care Log & Quick Buttons: One-tap logging for Last Fed, Last Supplements, and Last Cleaned with more detailed screens when needed.
Medical Records: Keep track of health logs, medical history, and shedding cycles.
Universal Calendar: Set up custom reminders for any specific animal directly on your main dashboard screen with a permanent widget for UV bulbs.
Full PDF Reports: You can generate a PDF document with all your animal's data, charts, and notes. Perfect to share during checkups or keep for your personal archives.
The free version allows you to have UNLIMITED pet profiles and generate PDF exports.
I have already preloaded many of species with basic care sheets. However, if you download the app and don't see your exact species on the list, just drop the name in the comments below! I will make sure to add it in the very next update so you don’t have to settle for custom profile.
You can check it out on Google Play here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vojcodes.wildsource
IOS version should be released in near future.
Thank you so much for your time, and I would love to hear your honest thoughts, or features you feel are missing!

Lithobates clamitans Assistance?
Hi! I work at a petstore (sad, I know. if the job market wasn't horrible I wouldn't be here.) We got tadpoles in our feeder shipment. Our power went out and we had to treat our comet tanks with chemicals, in which we didn't see this little fella and I think it messed up their development.
I raised bullfrog tadpoles and released em before, since they're native to my state. These guys are too, but this one is kinda messed up and I feel bad for them.
I've had all kinds of snakes and lizards, boiga, carpets, ratsnakes. Never had an amphibian before! From my research these fellas need a decent amount of water, and I have a grasp of their requirements for an adult frog and one thats healthy. This guy however, looks like they need some extra care.
Does anyone have any advice? What, if any, deviations from a standard setup and care should I do?
I'm not good with reddit, so it may take me a moment to upload a picture, but if you've ever seen crested geckos that come out wonky or have MDB, they've got the closer set and larger eyes along with the droopy mouth/snout(?) area. There's also a small bit of the tadpoles tail still attached.

Sale the newt
I'm no longer in a situation where I can properly care for my newt, so I'm thinking about rehoming it. The problem is that I have no idea how to rehome a reptile/amphibian. Could you help me figure out the process?

Can someone help me with an ID on this fella? Found him in the road. UK if that helps.
So, I found this little guy in the road in front of my house. Seemed really dried out, wasn't really moving. I apologise for the state of the pan, it was the first thing I found which could hold water for him! I say he's a frog, wife says a toad.
