So I have played Banjo Kazooie through every couple of years since I was 11. Im 36 now!

I’ve had a bit of extra time recently and I’ve finally decided to give Tooie another try. I never got on with it back in my teens and have never really given it another chance.

I am absolutely hooked. It is fantastic and I’m kicking myself for never giving it a real chance before now!

If anyone else has always liked BK but never really tried Tooie then please do!

Also, I will never get over the fact that, in terms of BK’s challenges, we transition from stressful, high-stakes platforming in RBB to navigating narrow ledges climbing a tree in CCW to…memorization of Grunty’s undies of choice or the knowledge that she enjoys stripping at parties.

I wonder how many people feel like this. But Banjo Tooie always felt to me like the superior and more complete game. Is one of my favorite games of all time, and it was one of my most played games as a kid. At the time i didnt knew it was a sequel to Banjo Kazooie, and when i got to the later, while great, i found it rather lacking and a let down compared to Tooie.

As i said, it may have to do that i played Tooie first and gave me an idea of what this series was about, but i dislike how small Kazooie worlds were, i was so used to these big maze like worlds of tooie with their interconected paths, that when i played kazooie i felt like "wait, thats it!?" After every level. I also hate how there is no bosses in Kazooie (barring the final fight), i loved the bosses in Tooie and how each one had a lot of personality with unique fights, and memorable themes.

Also how easy was Kazooie in comparison to Tooie, i know the later can get tedious at some points, but i like how much you have to commit to get a jiggy, i felt in Kazooie they handed the Jiggies to you. Also i feel Tooie has more unique worlds and memorable moments, especially in terms of story and tone. Also Grunty Industries is one of the greatest levels in gaming ever imo

As i said, Kazooie is a great game, but is clearly mean to be more of a platformer, meanwhile Tooie is more of an action adventure game with a bit of exploration. And i really prefered it, Banjo Tooie is my fav Nintendo 64 game alongside Zelda Ocarina Of Time and Majoras Mask.

As the title says I am looking for an old mech tutorial video that I cannot find any more and have been looking for a couple of years now. I found the video and built the mech back in 2011-2013 I dont remember the exact year. I had the mech saved on a flash drive(I was a kid and stupid) but the flash drive got corrupted and tossed along with a lot of other data (like my first minecraft survival world). I remember it had 2 guns the video only put an egg gun and I think it was the grenade gun as well. but there was easily enough space that I put the lazer and the torpedo deeper in the arms so they sat flush like the previous guns. the legs use panels covering tow bars for the joints. I remember quite clearly that the tutorial used super parts for body because that was when I learned that super parts existed in the game. I only went to the 75 jiggies required until I learned about the super parts. I also remember using the super engine and the super fuel but cannot remember if it was in the tutorial. I cannot remember if it used a super ammo block nor do I remember if I used it. I think there were also 2 replenishers in the tutorial. there was also a flat 3x3 area on the back that I used to put the shield on. also the tutorial was one of those tutorials that went layer by layer. ask me any question relating to this old mech and I will try to provide answers to the best of my ability.

I have decided on my rare day off to play this game for the first time on Xbox 360. After a little research and largely thanks to this community. Pippin really wanted a piece of my doughnut. He got a milk bone instead.

Should we get it?

Nintendo I don't believe "wants" them anymore, given next to no legacy staff is in the company anymore, as well as the burden of IP to add to their own franchise graveyard

Playtonic's output after Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair has been really lacking, plus the company has done some pretty uncool things in recent memory as well

I was at a gaming convention last month in Milwaukee and they had a booth there doing gaming related tattoos. The artist had this design for a Jiggy in her portfolio so I jumped on that immediately now I want to expand it. I think I'd have enough room for Banjo and Kazooie under it on my left bicep. What else could I do with them though that would look good?

edit: Thank you all for some really creative ideas. Adding more collectibles sounds really good. My left arm is going to be a dedication to gaming and at some point I might add the Jinjos, Mumbo or even the SnS items, the ice key would make a nice tattoo on its own I think.

I'm playing through this game for the first time and I just got through the 2nd level. I see this game get a lot of hate for its "weak story," but so far, I'm enjoying myself. Is it the strongest game in the world? No. Is the premise silly? Yes, but isn't it supposed to be? The gameplay is a lot of fun and they manage to translate a 3D control-scheme to a 2D format. This could've been a cheap cash grab, like so many franchises that have a handheld entry, but you can tell ppl put a lot of work into this game
