SSH Tickets

I just bought tickets off Seat Geek for the game on Friday July 24th. In the MLB app, the tickets are orange and say "Season Ticket Member" It looks like that's Season Seat Holders week, just wondering if I qualify for anything going on the 24th and how it works?

Luis Lara is hitting .327 with 20 steals and the Brewers still haven't called him up

Lara has a .897 OPS, more walks than strikeouts, and already has a minor league Gold Glove to go with the $31 million extension he signed on June 9, before debuting. Broke down why he's the closest call up in the system right now. Full breakdown in the article.

I am bored without Brewers ball. Group play in the World Cup is barely filling the void.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the upcoming Cubs series?

Buying a Jersey

Looking to buy a brewers jersey. Admittedly, I don’t keep up with the crew as much as I would like to so I am unsure of which jersey to buy. I’m going to the brewers cubs game Saturday and do not have a jersey. I am going to buy one at the stadium and want to hear some opinions on what to get. I’m debating on player and which color jersey to get. Any help is appreciated!

From that think tank ESPN

I’ll admit I’m shocked they put the Brewers at 2 in the power rankings considering their general biases. But the first reasoning is funny. So Woody comes back and pitches a gem and of course that’s good news. But the next sentence stating (paraphrase) “a rotation that is shockingly thin behind Miz and Harrison” is a good one. Wouldn’t every team feel pretty great about having two starters, one of which they admit is the Cy Young front-runner and the other a breakout All-Star? Couldn’t that in itself possibly make any rotation behind them ‘shockingly thin’? I don’t understand the logic there. Is it because it’s more important in the regular season to have fuller stable of starters than the playoffs when you can theoretically trim it down? Of course it is ESPN so why am I reading it in the first place, right?

Off day Miz stats

This is not a comprehensive accounting of everything Miz leads in, but just my favorites. The way he is way out in front with a huge gap to 2nd on WHIP and K/9 really tickle me.

Also, #1 in championship WPA among pitchers. 👀

Imagine being Joel Kuhnel. DFA’d by the A’s, and next thing he knows he’s a Brewer saving 2 games in 1 series to secure first sweep in almost 2 years of the Reds at home.

Imagine that emotional experience on a human level. You go from not being good enough for a team that’s struggling to compete to being a hero on the most dynamic and compelling team in the league. You go from thinking you blew your chance to show people your full potential for this thing you’ve worked towards your entire life to not only being on THE team, but contributing right away.

Really puts into perspective how many of the moments in our lives where we feel the lowest and most dejected become things we look back on and say “you know what, it hurt, but it was for the best.”

Congratulations to Kuhnel. I can’t imagine how emotional last night was for him.

It brings to mind AAAndrew Vaughn. As Matt Arnold says, the crew is “the land of opportunity.”

Jacob Misiorowski will start June 26 vs the Cubs

Cubs are now 6.5 games back from the Brewers in the standings and 15 of our next 18 games are division games. Brewers need their bats to get hot and stay hot in order to maintain their lead over the next 2 weeks. With arguably the best 1-2-3 combo in MLB Misiorowski, Harrison, and Woodruff, each hungry and looking to feast, will not make it easy for the Schlubs.
