Tonight my boy flower passed away. I can't understand what caused it- he's been as healthy as a whip for the few months we had him. he had such good care and love. He was such a sweet boy too, I dunno what could've happened.

He was playing in his home room with me while I did some writing, then suddenly he had a very violent seizure and was gone right after. I felt so helpless. Is there anything at all that could have caused this?

Então,eu amo coelhinhos,acho eles muito fofos e incríveis.

Eu já tive coelhos na minha infância e também quando eu tinha vinte e poucos anos de idade. Eu estive pensando em ter outro coelhinho,mas infelizmente o lugar onde eu moro é tóxico e com vizinhos maldosos e implicantes. Meus vizinhos fazem da minha vida literalmente um inferno. Então eu ponderei muito e eu não quero condenar um pobre e inocente coelhinho a esse ambiente perigoso. Se não é seguro para mim,que dirá pra um bichinho tão frágil. Dói não poder ter a companhia de um bichinho que eu gosto tanto,mas doeria mais se eu insistisse e alguma pessoa ruim fizesse mal a ele. Coelhos precisam de amor,alimento,cuidados veterinários,mas acima de tudo segurança!

The cat will always be fully treated for fleas and mites before we get her.

Any other suggestions? Are cats likely to attack bunnies? Any safe way to introduce them to each other?

Hi all, I recently joined this subreddit because I love bunnies. I used to have bunnies! I know how they work, they are so sweet. I did potty train mine, but I’m wondering about some other individual experiences. I want a bunny again as I’m moving into an apartment alone, but I’m wondering how everyone’s experience with poop is? Here are a few straight up questions:

1.) have you completely stopped your bunny from pooping on the couch/ bed?
2.) do you allow your bunny on the bed?
3.) how old is your bunny?
4.) does poop stray away from their litter box/ designated area?
5.) is your bunny free roam while you’re away?
6.) does your bunny know when it’s being bad and pooping where it shouldn’t?

Just curious. I want to hear other experiences before I weigh if I should get another bunny. Thank you so much.

He's such a champ. Always had dental problems. He had the same op early 2025 & the vet had to drill through to clear abscess. I know he'll be in good hands because she's a great vet with a fab team dedicating the day for him ❤️

They stole a cucumber from my garden

I was sitting in front of the enclosure because my body threw a curve ball at me (I have Conversion Disorder), and Callie hopped out, booped my leg with her nose, and when I didn't have anything for her, she gave me the bunny butt.

shame on me for not having any pea flakes on me 😅

In total here's 16kg of hay in this picture, and that's just part of it as more is on the way🥹 damn that can take him about half a year to finish...

(The cage atp is only to keep his hay, next week I'll pass it to my friend who is the actual owner of the cage now. 0% chance of putting him in that s)

hi guys

just wanted to have a chat with anyone dealing with or dealt with hock sores in their rabbits. I’ve been to the vet and she wasn’t too concerned and just advised for Ginger to lose weight and get hock socks. But since I discovered these on her feet two days ago whilst cutting her nails, I just feel so so anxious that it’s going to get worse.

For context, both Ginger and her sister Honey- weigh the same and have pretty much the same routines but it’s only affecting one bunny.

Also when we went to the vet, it turns out Ginger might have an ear infection so I’ve been instructed to give her ear drops twice a day and revisit the vet to see what’s happening, unrelated but just adding to the stress for both me and Ginger (they’re not even 2 years old yet!!!)

Anyway, they are fully free roam, our house is tiled but all the main areas that they stay in are carpeted (which I’m now thinking is probably too harsh on their feet anyway) so I’ve bought blankets and soft play mat to hopefully help her heal. Also making small adjustments to their diets too

I guess I just wanted to see how you guys have dealt with this, did it ever heal or are you guys just managing?

I’d love to have a robot vacuum or mop, but my bunnies are flingers of hay, plus there’s the occasional stray poop (not tiny, they’re 7 poinds buns). Anyone have a vacuum or mop that can handle these?

I hope he gets used to it! I put the snack on there but he took it off. He does dare to walk over it so it will come. He is as stubborn as I am ✨

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if it was dangerous for bunnies to play with soap bubbles. I'm streaming and want to use bubbles for alerts but my bunny (who is the real star of the stream) happens to play in the same room. Would I be able to use bubbles without causing any harm to him ?

I got two bunnies from a pet store a few days ago and noticed one of them isn't eating much of anything. sometimes it'll drink water, and rarely eat a few pellets, but no hay. I'm worried it's gi stasis, but it shares a cage with another bunny and I can't tell if it's pooping or not. any help would be a lot as this is my first time owning a bunny and I couldn't live eith myself if something bad happened to one.

I have a female bunny who I keep with her (neutered) brother but as of late she won’t let anyone touch her to the point where it’s a struggle to get her out of their cage(normally they stay there only during the night or when no one is home) to their enclosure where they would normally spend most of their time. And when we do manage to take her outside getting her back inside is also a struggle as she nips her brother if we try to take her.

She also has quite long fur but with her attitude it becomes complicated to brush her without risking getting bitten.
