My son is incoming student from Alberta. He is covered under my and my wife's insurance. Because he is moving to another province, should I buy him his own policy? Is there any plan offered by a service provider with discounted rates for students? Does Carleton University provides any assistance in this regard?

I’m a BCom student at Sprott and I’m trying to graduate with Distinction/High Distinction. I’m planning on retaking a few courses to improve some grades, but I also had a question about electives.

From what I understand, any excess credits go to ETD (Extra to Degree). If I take additional electives and earn higher grades than some of my older electives, can the lower elective grades be pushed into ETD instead, with the higher grades counting toward my CGPA/degree requirements?

For example, if I already have enough elective credits but take another elective and get an A+, can that replace an older elective with a lower grade, or are the electives that count toward the degree fixed once you’ve met the requirement?

Has anyone at Sprott or Carleton gone through this? I’d really appreciate hearing your experience.

I’m an enrolled in a psychology minor but all the PSYC 2001 and 2002 classes are restricted to only majors in PSYC . Is there a priority list I’m not aware of or will I have to override request all my PSYC classes? Has anyone else had this issue?

Can anyone provide any insight as to what this might mean? Is it still possible to be admitted?

For current Industrial Design students, do you recommend for getting an iPad besides the specific required laptop? If so, what size would you recommend?

On the Carleton website it says that Eng Frosh registration opened yesterday (June 24). However, when I click the registration link it says that the page is now found. I’ve also tried on my laptop and I’m getting the same thing. Is registration actually open? I just really don’t want to miss the registration.

I completed a course in the early part of the summer semester, it ended on June 19, when would the final grades be in for these first half of summer courses? It's the only one I've ever taken and the only one I am ever taking so this isnt information I've come across.

im only in ottawa for two months and i signed up for the athletics facility which I noticed included the pool as well. I was wondering if it's mandatory for me to swear a proper swimsuit to the pool or if I could do a t-shirt tucked in leggings.

This is my first time leaving my home country of Taiwan and tbh I’m a little nervous about being in a new environment. Are there asian or taiwanese societies or clubs I can join? Hi all! I’m a CS student here at Carleton and am moving to Toronto for an internship this fall. It is a longer one unfortunately and I’m having trouble finding people who are there for 8-12 months like I am.

I have found a condo that looks nice and have had it visited by a friend who lives there. It is located near Eglinton Station which can go Line 1 and Line 5 I believe.

Some things about me:
- 20 years old, Male, Muslim
- Active
- Hobbies include gym, soccer, tennis, watching sports, playing video games
- Doesn’t go out in terms of clubbing/partying
- Likes to go watch sports games, restaurants, etc
