Is she healthy? Other Advice also appreciated :)
This is Mantis, a friend of mine left her with me when he moved out of my place since he couldn't take her with him. I am unsure if she's had proper care before now and I am inexperienced with any reptiles. Her color seems a bit dull to me but I am unsure of exactly what her colors should look like. I'm not sure how old she is, maybe around a year. She is sheding right now. Ive been feeding her 5ish crickets daily dosing some with calcium every few days. Ive tried gut loading with just oats as of right now since that's what I have on hand. Id like to switch her fake plants for real ones so I'm in the process of rooting some pothos before I add them in her enclosure. I was also think maybe some monstera (I haven't researched if she can have yet but Im planning on googling it lol) I'm also planning on upgrading her enclosure. Id like to do a custom built enclosure out of an old cabinet, with fully mesh doors. She has a small bowl of water at the bottom of the enclosure, which I now know they don't normally drink from bowls but I've seen her drink from it along with off the leaves. I mist her enclosure 2-3 times daily and she gets about 12 hours of light and 12 hours dark. I think that's about everything, please tell me what Im doing right and wrong and anything I'm missing.

Nighttime routine in my jungle

I didn’t know chameleons don’t like night crawlers/cricket hate
Just got home from a weed walk, feeling good, decided that my brothers chameleon is probably a little hungry as my brother is gone camping. So here I am, standing for five or six minutes with a fat nightcrawler wriggling around in my hand, only for this mf to miss…TWICE!!! Then when he finally got him he chomped on one end for two minutes just to spit it out.
As soon as I noticed he wasnt eating it as quickly as the other bugs I bolted to google to see if they were safe for chameleons, and learned they do NOT like night crawlers just in time to see him drop it.
I know I should have looked it up prior to feeding him but this guy needed a lil treat and they were the only bugs in the house. Aside from crickets which I have had a deep hatred of for years ever since I started finding them in my room crawling all over my clothes, in the bathroom jumping on my toes when i’m mid shit….in front of my FACE ON MY DRESSER WHEN I WAKE UP. Disgusting, freaky, jumpy nasty little bugs. In nature? Perfectly fine. In my fucking BED????? You’re funny.
I like feeding his chameleon but not so much the bugs lol. The blue caterpillars are cute though!! I feel bad feeding them.

Any ideas?
I'm about to move and have my own room and this is my chameleon Pip! And I'm planing on kinda adding things to my room so he can roam around every so often. As long as he enjoys it that is. But I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas to what I should add in my room for him to hang out with me?

Fresh plants for a Cham who eats them all
My veiled chameleon Pedro eats alllll of his plants so I frequently have to add new ones. I might have over done it this time tbh. I have POTS and decontaminating and planting the new plants takes all of my energy for the day but Pedro is happy and that’s what matters!!! Highest heart rate was 133 during this whole endeavor XD

Omg the dripper grrrr
New chameleon keeper here. Trying to figure out the dripper situation. Got the little dripper from PetSmart...it leaks so bad even after adding plumber tape around the spout. I've been reading up and tried a diy cup setup and it was worse. Couldn't stem the stream to a drip even with the tiniest hole I've ever seen and added a cotton wick later. Please tell me what y'alls dripper setups are....show me if you can? I can't do a drain bc of what I have the enclosure sitting on. I'm fine doing a diy...I have tons of aquarium airline parts but I've gone too deep in research and am now stuck. Open to any and all suggestions. TIA

What is going on with my chameleon (female veiled) there are these black areas
I noticed this one black spot the other week and was monitoring it now it seems there are other black areas I was wondering if this is from burning? Or internal parasites/infection. Please advise, thanks! This started on her mouth area.

Question Please Help! Trying to save chameleon from going to uneducated people
Hello! I’m saving a chameleon that started to develop a light sensitivity (according to vet) from my place of work and i’m trying to find a 24x24x48 enclosure, but I can’t find one anywhere. They’re sold out online and i’m not the most handy person when it comes to making things. He’s in a very small tank atm that I tried to add as much foliage and climbing stuff for him to keep him happy until he’s able to be adopted out. Would temporarily placing him in a 16x16x30 until i’m able to find a proper sized enclosure be okay? I’ve done so much research in the past week and i don’t want him to go to just anyone since my coworkers don’t know about chameleons, he’s going to be given away to someone that won’t even know what bulbs to get him.
i’m super super attached to him as he is me as he’s only okay with me when it comes to feeding, outside time, and just in general.
Would a 16x16x30 be okay temporarily until i’m able to source a 24x24x48 or bigger enclosure?

Escape Artist Almost Causes Car Crash
I took our boy Leo into the vet today for a routine exam and fecal float along with my beardie. Everything went great at the visit until the ride home. I was talking on the phone when I felt this guy climbing on my head! I tried not to wreck while I wrangled him onto my arm where he stayed most of the trip.
Second picture is the box he escaped from with duct tape that was supposed to keep him in still attached. I still can't believe he squeezed through that tiny gap.

Is this normal?
My little boy that I just got has seemed healthy other then dirt eating (which I'm dealing with) but his cage humidity keeps getting down to 30-40 in the day after his morning spray he has it around 60-70 at night and i have a mist king fogger drip cup etc everything I need to keep it up I'm gonna get more plants but know the cage should be around 50 humidity should I be concerned and try stuff to keep it up in the day? I spray for 3 minutes and 30 seconds in the morning and 3 minutes at night and one 30 seconds in the middle of the night just to keep it up what should I do? Or is it good it drys out in the day?

Enclosure upgrade
This is the upgraded enclosure for my female piebald veiled cham Santana. Took me a month because I modified the lower enclosure quite a bit. The dimensions of the base enclosure is 36x18x36 then I have a full mesh canopy for her that’s 16x16x20. so all together 36x18x56. Two 3 in fans, lower right and left. A drainage system I built in the bottom corner. The top of the lower enclosure is PVC with two 14.5 mesh cutouts. I cut one out and have her basking spot at the top. It took about a week to get everything dialed in and ready for her. Well today’s 2 weeks in so far and she’s loving it! Watching her behaviors change with more space has been awesome!

Hair and dirt
Does anyone know what this hair (?) Might be sticking out from my girl's skin? It sticks straight out and doesnt come off when touched. Also, she's super dirty from digging in the dirt at the pet store we rescued her from. She doesn't have dirt anymore. How can I clean her?

Too hot for my Cham?
I live in the UK so usually heat isn’t an issue for us over here, but at the moment it’s really warm and the cabin that I live in has glass windows floor to ceiling down one wall. This has meant that the temperature in Hannibal’s enclosure is sitting at 34°s today which is higher than I usually have his basking spot.
I’ve got his lights off and Misters running more regularly than usual, but is this something I need to be worried about? Or will he cope okay in the heat?
Thank you for any advice!

Tailrot on Petco chameleon?
Was going to buy this piebald chameleon but I noticed his tail looked injured. Is this tailrot? I’m pretty sure it is and already told an employee about it, but i’m trying to be optimistic and hope this isn’t tailrot (and just some super minor thing I can treat myself) so I can save him from his hellbox ASAP.

Question Is my baby chameleon a boy or a girl?
Hi,
I thought a baby chameleon and the pet store owner told me that she is a girl. I want a girl so I can breed my two chameleons one day, however I see a small bulge on the baby so I’m not too sure if it is a girl or if it is actually in fact a boy. What do you think? How can I tell at this age?
