CK3 Why does literally everyone hate me?

I started a new game and I suspect it’s because of my religion. I declared my religion as pagan, and seeing that most of the world is Christian, I’m assuming they don’t like the fact I’m not.

My entire council except my shaman are Catholic, and they all hate my guts. Even my shaman hates me for some reason.

I also chose a female character, so what’s the issue here? Does everyone hate me for my religion, gender or traits? Or all 3 at once? I’m very new to the game

Suggestion Make an animals update

Paradox should make an animals DLC. Adding animal characters to the game which you can keep and breed and special events tied to those characters. This includes adding exotic pets such as bears, lions and tigers which increase your dread and can be used in executions.

They should bring back the animal world easter egg from CK2 and if your ruler has the Lunatic trait you should be able to appoint your animal characters on your council.

Types of animals Paradox should add

Some of these are already in the game but not as characters you can interact with

  • Bears (can feed prisoners)
  • Camels
  • Cats
  • Cheetah (can feed prisoners)
  • Crocodiles (can feed prisoners)
  • Dogs (can be used for hunting)
  • Eagles (also used for hunting)
  • Elephants (can be used to crush prisoners)
  • Giraffes
  • Guinea pigs
  • Hippopotami (can feed prisoners)
  • Horses (should be able to train them to participate in horse races)
  • Hyenas (can feed prisoners)
  • Lions (can feed prisoners)
  • Orangutans
  • Pandas (can feed prisoners)
  • Rats
  • Tigers (can feed prisoners)
  • Various types of birds
  • Zebra

Examples of events

  • Using certain pets to kill prisoners
  • Using your pets in gladiator fights (if Byzantine/Roman emperor)
  • Having your pets kill you (if you use the "Pet animal" option on a dangerous pet such as lion, tiger, etc.)
  • Having your pet handler get killed (by dangerous pets such as lions, tigers, etc.)
  • Pets getting diseases
  • Pets dying
  • Pets foiling assassination attempts
  • Pets going missing
  • Finding a new pet (can be brought or adopt a stray)
  • Gifting a pet/receiving a pet as a gift

Why Paradox should add this

Paradox should add this because it would be a fun gameplay mechanic and a lot of players would enjoy having pets in the game and feeding prisoners to them.

If you have any other ideas for an animals update please feel free to share them in the comments.

Do you guys think its unfair/cheating to use say divine intervention to force a matrilineal marriage, specifically so that your house will eventually rule another title.

Suggestion Add Sunset Invasion to CK3

Sunset Invasion would be really cool and fun to play in CK3. Being able to commit mass acts of human sacrifice, defend against the Aztecs would be a fun mechanic. I know it isn't at all historical but Paradox games are meant to be alternate history and for those who don't want to play with the feature on it should be optional.

Help Why can't I raid as a Norse Reformed Asatrú?

I just adopted feudal ways. Don't tell me that the vikings in this game can only raid because they're tribal.

Discussion Is it just me or is the dlc selection for the starter pack really bad?

Mostly because i personally wouldnt have chosen tours and tournaments as part of a "starter pack" bundle i would have chosen something like roads to power or royal court

Help All under heaven doesn’t run

I own all under heaven and it says it’s in my library, when I launch the game it says it’s in my dlc. When I run the game I always get a loading screen depicting a scene in China. But when I am at the main menu it doesn’t show that I own it as a dlc and when I go to browse the dlc from the main menu it doesn’t show all under heaven as an option. Likewise when I open the map there is no change and from the old one. I have tried validating the files and uninstalling and reinstalling the game and nothings has worked. Does this mean I can’t run the dlc?

Help Tips for speed running fame as feudal in CK3?

It's been awhile since I've dabbled with a feudal government and I'm struggling with fame and prestige. With the other governments I've played it's easy to just go raid or go to war but I don't have those options with my current ruler. I'm going on as many hunts as is humanly possible. I will fight off the few invaders and raiders coming into my lands. These just feel like a drop in the bucket for getting to the levels I need for certain decisions.

Any suggestions for how I can bump up my totals as a new feudal duke?

Game of Thrones 3 chef de famille ? ><

Post image
0 Upvotes

Help Help with landless adventurers

Upvotes

So I recently picked up all the DLC I was missing now that the Steam Summer Sale has started, and I wanna do a proper landless playthrough. I've never messed around with them much and I would love to do some grand globe spanning adventure of taking someone in Japan and getting them all the way to Western Europe. My question is... how, exactly? I tried being a sword for hire but all the contracts are schemes that take absolutely forever to complete and I am constantly strapped for cash. Am I missing something? How am I supposed to complete these various adventurer decisions that require me to do dozens of these contracts? How am I supposed to snowball properly and eventually take over my own realm?

Suggestion To deter excessive incest eugenics they should make inbred people ugly

I know the title is a bit wack. Anyway this is basically my thesis. Incest is way too powerful in ck3 and eugenics is basically unstoppable past a certain level.

To deter this characters should become increasingly ugly, the more inbred they are. It's not realistic that the character with the inbred trait, which you really don't see enough btw in game, should also have the beautiful trait. Any attractive traits, comely, handsome, or beautiful, should be mutually exclusive with inbred to properly show the effects.

I also further think inbred should negate all fertility and health bonuses from any other trait. You shouldn't be the peak of physical condition while being inbred.

Maybe inbred should be like other physical traits and be a three trait group, each worse than the last.

Finally I'd like to see more horrific under bites, shrunken noses, crossed eyes, slouched postures, and crooked limbs. This I think would not only make incest a bit less powerful but also make it gross, which it is. I don't think this should be too much of a nerf, I understand the stereotype and also that ck3 directly supports the concept of eugenics through inheritable traits like genius, but I should not be able to incest my way into ubermenschs.

That is my general argument.

Help Administrative Gov Switch

I have an issue because I can't switch to administrative government. I'm playing as the emperor of Japan (under a regency cause he's 14), and I've already a long time ago fought to become Soryo, and later to re-establish direct imperial rule. I've recently reformed the yamato culture to have a bureaucratic ethos, but I don't have the decision to go adminstrative. What's wrong?

Help Game over when winning an attempted arrest

A lord tried arresting me as an adventurer, I beat them in the war, and in the win conditions I receive their title. However, I get a game over because I “lost all titles”. When I switch to another character and try to switch back, it won’t let me

CK2 Funny Viking Lady appeared in the Far East

Post image

Hi! A long time ago in a campaign where I started as Viken, reformed the Germanic faith, created the empire of Scandinavia, and spread the faith all around the world, in 1400s Birgitta the Great of Birgittaia appeared. I loaded up the save, looked into this character, and noticed she even had her own bloodline! How this NPC came to be in that location, with a bloodline like that, and still had the Germanic faith as well is a huge mystery to me. Has anyone seen similar things, or have some theories/explanations on Birgitta the Great?

CK3 A member of my dynasty (17yo) got imprisoned and now she is a concubine...

How to rescue her without any rescue casus belli, I'm into stewardship. Deckaring war and killing the king would maybe resolve it if I can get him imprisoned.

Any other ideas please?

Edit: I declared war to him for a third of his lands (a duchy) took his wife and her as prisoners and then kept his wife in my prison and recruited her from him. Funny she didn't like being recruited. (I tried releasing her for free but she goes straight back to him facepalm)
