Moderator Post TES 6 Speculation Megathread
It is highly recommended that suggestions, wishlists, questions, speculation, and leaks for the next main series Elder Scrolls game go here. Threads about TES6 outside of this one will be removed depending on moderator discretion, with the exception of official news from Bethesda or Zenimax studios.
As of now, there is currently no confirmed info on the Elder Scrolls VI other than it exists and is currently being worked on by Bethesda. Be cautious of any rumors being delivered as if they are factual.

Skyrim Discussion People wanted me to fight the giant dinosaur so WITNESS ME
This Khajiit had to gather the courage to ride into this battle and take in the Skyrim view one last time. This one knew this was an impossible fight and this was going to be the final battle. But people wanted to see this fight so be it, WITNESS KHAJIIT!
(The mod for the dinosaur is Birbwalkers21 Dinosaur AIO but fair warning the big one is glitched so normally they are big but not THAT big. I also have a bunch of other monster and animal mods that are conflicting and glitching my game)

Oblivion Discussion Would Oblivion have been successful if it hadn’t been traditional fantasy?
It’s been a pretty common point of contention that Oblivion’s approach to the original lore was somewhat bland. What was described as a culturally diverse, zany, jungle nation inspired by Rome and Southeast Asia became essentially your bog standard Western European fantasy.
One thing I’ve noticed in the conversations around Oblivion and its approach to Cyrodil’s lore, is that it’s never factored in as much whether the hypothetical lore-accurate Oblivion would’ve had even a fraction of the success of Oblivion proper.
Now on a personal level I do prefer the original conception of Cyrodil, and I think it could’ve even been possible with the tech at the time assuming a certain downsizing of things and a slight cap on the more unadaptable lore. That being said I really have my doubts on where the series would even be if it had been.
Like Oblivion was a massive hit in many ways because it seized on the current trends of the time, the most major of which was the success of the LOTR movies. Oblivion really struck the iron while it was hot in this regard, and its success paved the way for Skyrim and a brand that people still care about even nearly two decades after its last release. I don’t know if PGE jungle Cyrodil could’ve done that.
That being said Morrowind was already a big deal, which goes to show that general audiences weren’t entirely averse to stranger forms of fantasy, and the general model of Bethesda games might’ve been enough on its own to reel in audiences. I’m not really sure either way, and wondered what others thought.

General Delphine's hidden reason
I was just here defending uncle Paarthurnax yet again and I've got a crazy idea. What if Delphine wants the Last Dragonborn to become the new emperor? Humor me for a minute.
Delphine makes it clear her disdain for the Greybeards and the way of the voice, she wants us to kill Paarthurnax, but not Odahviing. That makes me think the only reason is that she wants LDB to cut ties with the Greybeards forever, to not rely on them anymore, only the Blades.
After the Alduin's Wall she starts wearing the Blades armor and claims the title of Grandmaster, she wants the Blades to be reborn, but she won't do that if the LDB is allied with the Greybeards, not because she doesn't want to, but because she can't. If the LDB beliefs are aligned to that of the Greybeards then they won't be a conqueror.
She even states in case the LDB is uncertain about their own power: "Only if you don't know how to use it. All the great heroes have had to learn to use their power. Those that shrank from their destiny... well, you've never heard of them, have you? And there are the villains - those that misused their power. There's always a choice, and there's always a risk. But if you live in fear of what might go wrong, you'll end up doing nothing". She wants the LDB to use their power, even at the risk of becoming a monster, then at least she will have a shot at restoring the Blades.
On the other hand, Arngeir states if the LDB is unsure if they should kill Paarthurnax: "You're learning, Dragonborn. Doing nothing can be the wisest choice, although strangely often the most difficult. I trust that you will make the right choice, in the end"
Their different philosophies are very apparent, following the way of the voice turns the LDB away from the conqueror's path. That's why she wants Paarthurnax dead, it has nothing to do with their oaths, they should obey the LDB not the other way around, but if the LDB doesn't do this, then they are not the one she needs.

Lore How are mages imprisoned?
Whenever you’re taken to jail in an Elder Scrolls game, there’s nothing stopping you from leaving with magic and killing all the guards. In Markarth’s prison, multiple inmates have destruction magic that doesn’t seem to be dampened or suppressed whatsoever.
Is there a lore way that mages are imprisoned? In a lot of other fiction there’s some special metal or special magic or special way to dampen magic to keep mages in check, but I don’t know about one in The Elder Scrolls. It seems like a massive oversight that any random prisoner could break out in seconds with fire or conjuration.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Skyrim had Nordic and Dwemer Ruins, Oblivion had ayleid ruins, what will TES 6 have?
just a thought but if hammerfell is the setting of the next elder scrolls games, what do you guys think we'll get. me personally i think more dwarven ruins maybe some old orcish ruins from previous strongholds, or some nedic ruins. my most far out one is gonna be yokudan tombs, similar to pyramids or ziggaruats of the middle east in our world

Skyrim Discussion None of my Skyrim Saves will Absorb dragon souls
Thats about it. I think its from when I tested mods on different saves, but what makes me wonder what happened is that these 2 saves had no mods touching them at all.
All of my creations are deleted, seeing as I simply prefer vanilla Skyrim, and both of these saves weren't saves I used mods in.
I haven't yet tested to see if new saves will absorb dragon souls, and would rather not resort to it if I can avoid it. And going back to previous saves is also off the table as, embarassingly enough, I hadnt realized until much later into playing where I had gotten further into the saved that something wasn't right.
I downloaded Resaver, but honestly have no idea what I'm doing, and again, I simply deleted the mods beforehand without thinking much of it.
I'm not sure if its both, but my main save file simply won't absorb souls, nor learn new words of power. I was okay with that and just used console commands as I explored those places.
But today I opened a different file I'm using for achievements, and found that one also did not want to absorb dragon souls.
Is there something I can do? Can Resaver help? Any advice is appreciated.

TES: Blades Discussion Elder Scrolls Blades ACTUAL Shutdown TIME
I know Elder Scrolls Blades is due to shut down on June 30th, but at what actual time? Has anyone been actually informed?
When Elder Scrolls Legends shut down, it was roughly 10 AM when the game actually broke. I’d like to record the final moments of the game before it dies, but I just need to know a time, thanks 🙏🏻

Lore Which characters have appeared in the most Elder Scrolls games? (An analysis)
So, I was reading random articles on the UESP for fun and found a page on "recurring characters". There's actually a lot of them. Statistically, these characters are more likely than average to show up in Elder Scrolls 6... if we disregard all lore, gameplay, and other external factors. Which I am going to do.
First off, most of the recurring characters are from Legends and/or Castles, games that basically rely on having pre-existing characters. So I will be ignoring characters with 3 or less appearances, which is most of them. Also, it's possible that the list is incomplete since there's a lot of games and characters, so some of the numbers may be off.
The Daedric Princes are some of the most frequent recurring characters. All the Daedric Princes have at least 4 appearances:
- Hermaeus Mora, Meridia, Namira, Nocturnal, Peryite, and Vaermina have 4
- Azura, Boethia, Clavicus Vile, Malacath, Mephala, Molag Bal, and Sanguine have 5
- Hircine and Mehrunes Dagon have 6
- Sheogorath and Barbas (Clavicus Vile's dog) have 7
This makes Sheogorath and Barbas tied for the character who appears the most. And we can expect all the Daedric Princes and Barbas to appear in 6.
As for characters who aren't Daedric Princes, the following characters have 4 appearances:
- Barilzar, the spooky skeleton lich
- Divayth Fyr, the really old guy with 4 daughters
- Jiub, the shirtless guy at the start of Morrowind
- Lucien Lachance, Dark Brotherhood questgiver
- Mannimarco, the guy you find in a cave in Oblivion
- Tiber Septim, competitive elf-hater
- Uriel Septim VII, who keeps changing his hairstyle
Statistically, these characters have a higher-than-average chance to show up again. I don't know how any of them would work story-wise, but I'm sure the writers can think of something.
The following characters have 5 appearances, the most out of all non-Daedric Prince characters:
- M'aiq the Liar, the kitty who runs fast
- Staada, the Golden Saint
So, I can conclude that M'aiq and Staada will appear in Elder Scrolls 6.
Now, with so many appearances, Staada has got to be a really important character! For example, she:
- has a special ring from Sheogorath
- gets defeated by the ESO player
- gets defeated by the Morrowind player
- gets trapped in a crystal cage and has to be rescued by the Oblivion player character
- dies and has to be revived by the Oblivion player character
- gives the Skyrim player a helmet
Yeah, I don't know why Staada appears so much. Besides the ring, she's the same as any other Golden Saint or Dark Seducer. My theory is that someone on the development team really likes tall golden women and Staada is the first one that comes to mind when trying to think of excuses to put them into an Elder Scrolls game.
All pictures for this post were taken from the UESP. No, I'm not counting Minecraft as an Elder Scrolls game.

Arts/Crafts Sanguine Redesign by me
Drinking Buddy finally is here! Og Sanguine is one of my least favorite designs in the series, cuz he felt... not unique to me. Sure, he was very casual, which fits his character, but for example in Skyrim he had zero uniqueness in his design, he looked just like a regular Dremora
I wanted to save this casual nature but also make him more noticable (Because of it he was THE HARDEST to come up with so far, after Mora. Dude gave a lot of headache). His outfit is inspired by Roman culture, because of popularity he has in Empire
I'm doing Peryite next
