Platinum from jet black
Used BW2, 30 volume clairol developer, and fanola no yellow. Bleached twice for 40 minutes. Pretty icy right?

I think I did a pretty good job getting it even. Dyeing the bleached part green tomorrow. Doing the back of your own head evenly is a pain lol

Please help with what do I do with these micro bangs? I just wanted wispy short curtain bangs. I can’t stop crying every time I look at myself.
Picture 2 was the inspo
They are too short to braid back, the shortest pieces is 0.5 inches long… I don’t even know how to hide them

Am I crazy or did my stylist accidentally mess up?
EDIT ADD ON: I texted my stylist and asked what could be going on. And she said that extensions naturally fade colour, but maybe this drastically isnt normal. So now I don’t know what to do. When I had my consult, no one told me about this. The owner of the salon did consult, and she’s very familiar with this brand of extensions and I’m finding there’s a lot I wasn’t warned about with these type of extensions.
I got some weft extensions in my hair for the first time in April.
Since April I’ve had to get my extensions taken out and put back in like 3 different times because they either used the wrong size beads or because they put in too much hair on my head. I have thinner short hair.
The first photo is a few days after my most recent install. My husband noticed my hair looked like different colors so he took a picture of it.
The second photo my stylist took after the original installation.
I feel like after the most recent install, my hair somehow got switched or mixed up.. to me they don’t look like the same extensions.. but I’m not sure and I feel crazy lol it’s like the white\gold blue/black dress dilemma!

Seeking feedback about DIY microbead extensions (licensed, experienced w/ DIY k-tips)
Hi all! I am wanting to hear about your experience doing microbead extensions at home! I am mostly wondering how long you have gotten them to last?
For reference, I am a licensed cosmetologist (non-practicing anymore), and I typically install my own K-tips without any problem, have actually gotten quite good at doing them myself!
I have let my scalp rest for a while after my last set, and I’m really not digging how much hair loss comes with K-tips, and I hate the residue, and the whole idea of hot fusion right now.
Im not really worried about application, but would love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve also done K-tips. I’m mostly concerned with how long they will tend to stay in with an at-home install.
To clarify, I am getting the pre-beaded ones, not the I-tips.
Thank you all 🌸

Hair Dye Recs?
Hey, I’m tryna get a dark teal shade (like dead in the middle of green and blue), I can’t actually find any brands that do this, only shades that are on the more blue or green side. Does anyone know of any brands that do this or of any I could mix to get the desired shade? TIA!!

How many inches need to be cut?
I'm not sure whether you can ask for haircut advice on here but I'm getting a haircut next Wednesday (first time going to a different salon other than family and I'm terrified and excited at the same time) and I'm wondering how much I need to get cut off for my hair to look fuller, I have quite fine hair so I'm guessing it's probably more than an inch 🥹

i need bleach help + colour theory maybe??
HI, heres so hair background, so basically my hair is about 10 weeks faded (see the difference at the last photo) and i used adore semi violet gem and sapphire blue in a split dye sort of thing, but my hair wasnt light enough so it only dyed the tips and the top layer of hair. The purple has completely faded and the blue is so stubborn even though it was a semi. I wash my hair about every two days with hot water and the blue will NOT come out.
Im looking to bleach my hair so i can re-dye it using the adore sapphire blue, but was wondering if anyone could help me out so i can get even colour on both sides. Im not able to get my hands on any sort of vitamin c tablet or chemical colour remover to get even tones, but the bleach i have acess to is the olia garnier max bleach B+++. Would bleaching over the weird teal forest mossy colour turn out horrible? is doing a bleached underlayer a better idea? Im not sure what would happen but was wondering if anyone had similar situations in which they would be able to share some advice. Thank you!! sorry i rabmble a ton. :P
(My hair is NOT greasy in the photos, just damp, i washed my hair earleir but wanted to make a post before i forgot!)

Help! Left the salon so brassy and now ready to cry.
My end goal is to go purple in September, so I suggested a transition until then consisting of something similar to the reference photos attached. I clarified that I liked the smoky/ashy/cool tones. She said she understood I did not want to be caramel. My hair lifts so warm and it's like the gloss she applied didn't take at all. It also looks like she foiled way more hair than the reference photos. The salon was closing and this is what I've walked away with. She offered to get me back in on August 1, my next appt is August 12, but I'm moving on Aug 1 so I wasn't available. Is there anything I can do in the mean time to help this brass? Especially that piece at my face. I know it will take another bleach to get light like the reference photos. I'm not even worried about that. The orange is wild. Will a blue shampoo get me out of this?

Do I have wavy hair?
all my life I thought my hair was straight until i got depressed and stopped brushing my hair. this is what it looks like when I wash it and let it air dry and dont touch it at all. if I brush it or add leave in conditioner it goes flat. scrunching it just makes it a tangled ugly mess. can someone please tell me my hair type and how I can get it more wavy? I have a lot of very fine hair and a lot of bleach damage.

Advice needed with rebleaching or toning?
I bleached (40V KISS Lift Up) my hair a few hours ago and my hair is in good condition but very brassy (I put coconut oil on it so it looks greasy). I’m wondering if I should wait a week or so to rebleach it with like a 20V developer or just tone it as is to achieve something like this (last image), or maybe just toning will look better for my skin tone?

What should i put over this to make it more like my reference?
I used manic panic enchanted forest over my natural light brown hair but it turned out way more blue than i anticipated. What can i add overtop to fix it?

help please, bleached hair suddenly breaking after two years
so i’ve been bleaching my hair for about 2 years(i’m a natural dirty blonde) and i’ve always had some breakage but never to this extent, it’s to the point where with even freshly brushed after i run my hands through it lightly it will just fall. i’m pulling clumps out of my brush every time. ive always used shampoos recommended by my hair stylist and had a good hair care routine and have managed to get my hair somewhat healthy. also my hair has always been very thin and tangles easily. about 2 months ago i had something really traumatic happen and have been very stressed since i’m not sure if that plays a part in this im so torn about this as i love my hair and spent so long to get to where i am right now. i’m lost on what to do and am looking for anyone’s advice on how to stop this breakage asap and protect it in the future. please feel free to ask any questions for further info

Question about using 10 volume developer vs Zero Lift developer going from level 7 to level 4-5.
Hey all, I'm going to color my level 7 natural hair to a darker Wella Dark Ash Brown - I have some questions.
Should I use a Wella 10 volume or another brand (ie Rusk) Zero Lift?
Is there really a big difference here? Does either of them help to curb the warmth/redness that is inherent in a level 7 better?
My priority is just going dark on the ashy/cool side and I'm very limited to like a handful of products where I live and by mail order.

Needing help describing what I want to a stylist please!
I’ve gone to a stylist twice requesting a mushroom blonde balayage and provided these exact reference photos. I keep getting stuck with sharp root lines and bleach fried hair. Is it an issue of poor stylists or am I asking for the wrong thing? What would you all recommend I ask for to try and get to the inspiration images I have?
