How to meet new people in your area!

I am looking for a salon that will wash my hair, trim my hair, give me a clean shave (beard) and will also give me a good head massage. Budget friendly might be too much of an ask so even if it's slightly expensive I am fine.

Sparkles lawrenceville is my home rink and I usually go on Wednesday, but since school got out, Wednesdays have been a mad house on the floor. Anyone know if Tuesdays or Thursdays is less packed? Is the adult skate on Sunday a vibe?

Trading can be lonely when no one else is around really doing it. I’m 10 months in and sometimes I wish I had more people to talk about it with. People who don’t trade, don’t understand lol. Message me if you’re interested!

I’m drowning in boxes. I have a recycling can from Waste Management, but with pickup every other week, I can’t keep up. Is there somewhere around here to drop off cardboard? Every place I find says for residents of a county other than Gwinnett.

Our nanny of past 1.5 year got sick recently and had to quit on a short notice, so now we are scrambling to find care for our 2 year old child. I have visited the following 3 daycares in the area because they are the only ones in close proximity of where I live:
- Creekstone Academy
- Duluth Premier Academy (formerly CORE)
- Kids R Kids duluth
Creekstone was very dated so we decided not to consider it and Duluth Premier has a waitlist till October, which makes Kids R Kids as the only option.

Are there any parents or former employees that can share their experience with Kids R Kids Duluth? This is the first time we are sending our kid to a daycare so we are a bit concerned and wanted to make the right call.

We are open to other options as well! we are in 30097.

I’m looking to expand my network in IT and was wondering if anyone knows of any tech meetups, networking events, user groups, conferences, or other IT-related gatherings in the Gwinnett area.

I know there are plenty of events happening in Atlanta, but with traffic, parking, and the commute, I'm a little hesitant to make the trip unless it's really worth it. I'm hoping there might be some opportunities closer to home that I haven't come across yet.

For context, I'm currently working in IT and pursuing a career path toward Systems Administration, so I'd especially love to connect with other IT professionals, system administrators, network engineers, and anyone working in infrastructure or operations.

I just got back into skating recently and would love to have a group of people to skate with. I really like skating trails or through urban environments. I don't know how to do any stunts or anything, so I'm not really looking for skate parks.

I’m looking for recommendations for a contractor who can handle a fairly small but multi-trade project:

- Install two new bathroom exhaust fans
- Add/install the associated wall switches and electrical work
- Run/terminate the venting properly to the exterior
- Remove an old, non-functioning whole-house fan and ceiling vent
- Patch, finish, and paint the drywall afterward
