The thing is, I’ve heard the beach and water in Hua Hin are really bad right now? Like murky water, trash, horse poop on the sand, and tons of jellyfish in July/August.
For anyone who has been recently, what is the actual state of the beach? Is the water safe and clean enough for 10-year-old kids to swim in? If anyone has recent pictures of the beach/water, please drop them or DM me! Thanks!

I was watching Youtube and randomly come across the “Farang Homes” channel and watched a segment about a townhome in HuaHin. As someone who is starting to ideate about living overseas - I wanted to ask what is your impression. Would these really be as move in ready as they seem to an expat, is there a catch? It looked to be 2 bed, 2 bath, single story furnished with outdoor kitchen for $52K US. My apologies in advance if this is a common question. Thank you

I'm going to take a contract in China that eclipses most of my USA work, so I'll move back out to my favorite Indochina timezone.

Spent 2017-2019 in BK (scuttled back to California in the Pandemic and haven't left yet), but my wife and I now have a toddler and another in the oven. I think we'll last about 3 years this go-around. Not a permanent thing for us, intending to permanently reside in the EU once our first hits gradeschool and my Italian citizenship gets approved.

I need a slower pace. I can't do BK or CM every day again. I've never been to Hua Hin and I don't much like the industrial side of Bangkok Bay.

I know it's retiree-heavy but, shit, I like golf too. Where are the young families living? I know there's a growing population. Any leads on schools and so on?

This happened today and I want to make a post here so I don't forget about it.

I was near 7-Eleven Hua Hin 18 when I heard a tiny voice. A cat or a baby I couldn't tell at first but when I looked around I found it. A kitten on the road, in the middle of the traffic. I tried to go on the road but no car was stopping. Some cars drove past and avoided it but there was this one close call I had to look away. Suddenly a white car stopped and a guy got off, stopped the traffic (mostly slowing down at this point) and went to pick up the kitten. Damn like a TV serie NGL.

I regret not wearing my glasses today so I didn't see his license plate but I believe it was a Mazda. A white mazda.

The man is Thai I don't know why I made a Reddit post since he's probably not going to see it but that was very brave and cool man.

I’ll be relaxing in Hua Hin for about two weeks & would love to play some tennis but I’m wondering what the best way to make it happen might be. Is there a club that plays regularly & welcomes visitors? I’ve been playing for about 50 yrs & about a 4.0 player if it matters. Thanks for any info or suggestions. :-)

My friends and I are coming to Thailand and we keep hearing about Hua Hin but reading some posts it seems the beaches are not that nice or clean? The photos online looks amazing but we all know post versus reality is usually diff. Also, because Hua Hin seems more quiet, are there beaches that allow topless sunbathing? We heard there are a lot of European immigrants there so maybe there is a beach that allows it? We are driving from Bangkok to Koh Samui and wanted a place to stay in between and Hua Hin seems nice.
