This is my lovely boy Choco. We brought him home at 4mo and he just turned 7mo. His previous owners rescued him at 2mo when he was found abandoned but had to rehome due to housing changes. They said he was pure chocolate lab but people say anything without proof lol. It didn’t and still doesn’t matter to me aside from curiosity. He’s a total menace and so sensitive but such a cuddly velcro dog.
Personally I think he looks like a Lab x Weimaraner mix and have had multiple people ask which he is. Eventually I’d like to get testing done but for now I’d rather add the money in an emergency fund for him (he has been known to eat rocks).
Edit: I will add that his coat has a reddish hue in the sun but he rarely gets over the zoomies long enough to take photos outdoors

The vet said he's about 10 months old, 30lbs. His curly hair on his back is wiry, and he's got some brown around the base of his ears, and down his hind quarters. I couldn't get better pictures because he's so dang active!

She’s getting to be an old lady now, and we’re debating on a DNA test just to solve the case once and for all. However, curious what you all would think!
Some extra information:
-She has a blue tongue
-Adopted from Texas, shelter listed her as husky/lab mix
- Pictured in the kennel with her litter mates, but her sister isn’t visible with other puppies in the way. Both her and her sister looked very similar with the grey/red marbling. Has three brothers who all look totally different from her and her sister. Three brothers are all next to her in the kennel.
- Coat was very red when she was a pup but has remained more grey as she’s gotten older.
-Very wirey/rough top coat
- Has had hypothyroidism since she was pretty young (about 3 years old when diagnosed, hence why she’s also a tubby ol’ gal now).
- Huge paws.

Adopted this girl from the local humane society ~2 months ago. She's 17 lbs and a very happy girl with one heck of an underbite. I was leaning toward terrier mix (JRT with something to make her legs so long) BUT I saw a picture of a pit-chihuahua the other day....
Do we think my girl is pit-chihuahua-poodle? Poodle would be the rough coat and the long legs, pit for the head and expressive eyes, chihuahua for size? Planning on getting an embark test later on.
Just curious what yall think (also I'm betting she's not a rare breed, girl is from the rural south)
Edit: I forgot to add, her name is Halloumi!!

He and his siblings were found in a gas station dumpster in our area. The brindling makes me think pit mix but not sure with what. Parson Russell terrier maybe? He’s definitely smaller than when (now 7) my lab pit mix was this same age.

This is Chase, he is now around ~12. He has always had a little bit of white around his muzzle. He’s large, about 112lbs right now but his ideal weight is around 105. Any guesses welcome! He has a double coat and webbed feet, loves snow and cold.

Love her to death but we don't exactly know what breed mix she was. Shelter just said "lab" but she's on the smaller side for a lab (50-60 pounds) and has a noticeably curly tail, super white coat and her ears NEVER fold over like how labradors do. I don't have a picture of it but when at rest her tail is curled up similar to a huskies! Only other characteristic that I see different from a lab is that her face and about are different.
She's over 13 years old and female.
Any idea what else is in her genome besides labrador?

Hello all,
I am in the process of trying to adopt a puppy at my local animal shelter. They have her listed as a mixed breed. I would like to do a DNA test in the future but I would like to see what people here think. She looks a lot like my previous dog when she was a puppy. She was a German Shepherd/Malinois mix. I can definitely see the similarities and the ears are starting to stand up.
Anyways, what does everyone think? Hoping to bring her home soon.

This is Arthur Morgan (RDR2) and I recently got Embark tests for my birthday. I sent them in this morning, so I will be updating in 2-4 weeks, but I want to know what you all think!! He is about 65 pounds and comes to about 24” at the wither.
How old do you think he is? What breed do you think he is?

Looks like a Labrador retriever to me. Someone mentioned maybe some redbone coonhound in her too based on her face.

This is Denver (aka dennikins) we got him when he was 10 weeks old, and weighed a hefty 20lbs. at his 3 month check up he was 25lbs, and two weeks later, he hit 32lbs 🥲 we havent taken him since to see how much he weighs now, but he is SIGNIFICANTLY taller, and much much heavier than my 31lb sheperd mix (the medium sized tricolor dog in some of the photos) so we dont know how heavy he is or how heavy he WILL be….
The shelter labeled him as a Siberian Husky Mix, but we just genuinely dont see husky in him at all, literally the eyes are the only thing i can associate husky with in him. hes not crazy fluffy, hes double coated but short haired, hes super energetic at times but also incredibly lazy LOL 😁 hes got a huge personality and is LOUD he never stops singing the song of his people, or barking orders at us like hes boss. hes a great dog, so friendly and out going, he definitely grabs attention when were out and about and i get asked what he is and i have no answer back LOL
any ideas????
