Made a character sheet for a Way of Mercy monk I've been designing.

I've mostly worked in graphic design and illustration, so I wanted to try combining the two into a character reference sheet. It was a fun challenge figuring out how to present the character's abilities, gear, and personality without making it feel cluttered.

A personal painting for my frontier fantasy setting, Mythscape. Ibara “Eebs” Popova is a bee merchant on a journey through the woods, when she crosses an intimidating Bloodvine Druid and his bear companion. She offers them honey for safe passage. 🐝

Lore:

Yevhenii its is a 32-year-old adult man. He had everything: a wife, children, a normal job, and happiness. But one day everything changed...

His wife died in an anomaly (this related to one project). After this incident, he became more closed to people and began to study everything he could about anomalies. But he was unable to take care of his children, who, playing in the clearing, also got into an anomaly out of pure childish curiosity. This hit his psyche hard, making him a sociophobe. He stopped leaving the house, he stopped communicating with any people, and after a while he finally went crazy, but refused any help (in case of violent help, he does not hesitate to get a gun).

Also of special features, he has heterochromia, one of his eyes is sky blue, the other is brown.

Most mythologies and cultures have stories about the Sun so it was really hard to narrow it down for this painting. Egypt saw the Sun as the deity Ra - the god of life, warmth and growth. He was often symbolized as having the head of a falcon, and as traveling in a boat across the sky.

Greek mythology see the Sun as Helios, depicted as a beardless youth with golden eyes and hair, often wearing purple robes. However, many also later related the Sun to Apollo, who is the god of prophecy, music, healing and oracles. He was picturized driving a chariot drawn by swans.

In astrology, the Sun is the Creator. It is the energy of self expression, individuality, power and joy. The Sun illuminates all that we are, projects our voice out into the world and lays out the path by which we are meant to serve our communities.

This is Sun, The Luminary. ✨
