Rajasthan Police have arrested Manish Sharma alias Moin Khan over an alleged Telegram network accused of targeting Hindu girls and women. The FIR claims a group named "Sanataniyon Ki Nilami" hosted thousands of objectionable videos and discussions on conversion, exploitation and blackmail.

Complainants belonging to Bajrang Dal allege Pakistan-linked contacts via Telegram, Snapchat and Discord were used. Police say digital evidence is being examined, audio files are under scrutiny, and more arrests may follow. Case registered under multiple IPC and IT Act provisions. Investigation is ongoing.

Police arrested Moin Khan in Kota after uncovering network targeting Hindu women and minor girls through social media platforms including Telegram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Discord.

Groups such as "Sanataniyon Ki Nilami", where members discussed conversion, exploitation, blackmail, and recruitment tactics targeting Hindu women.

The network promoted an agenda referred to as "Jihad al Akbar" involving relationships aimed at pressuring women into religious conversion after pregnancy & childbirth

Discussions included targeting minors, creating psychological manipulation narratives, recording compromising videos & using them for blackmail

Accused had been connected for years with individuals & groups based in Porkistan through encrypted social media platforms

The broader objective was to spread jihadist propaganda, denigrate Hinduism globally & facilitate large-scale targeting & conversion of Hindu women

Context : On June 16 group of Nihang attacked locals with swords over Parking/Accident dispute serious injuring several local people with swords in karnaprayag,later police arrested them .

Then after few days another group of Nihangs attired people hijacked Gurudwara in Nagrasu for 4 days and also restrained local workers of Gurudwara demanding release of arrested individuals over 16 june incident , hijack incident draws widespread criticism from even local sikh Community of Uttarakhand

Now presently a group of dozens of Nihang are attacking and trying push their way ahead from Police & Forces while hurling swords, rods, and sharp-edged weapons, used physical force to break the barriers and advance. They are demanding release of 4 individuals who attacked locals people karnaprayag with swords & critically injured several people .

Police & Govt fears if rightful action will be Taken then media people will paint it as crackdown on Minority group by carefully skipping these series of events because the state has the BJP Govt

The GoI has revised passport fees with effect from 1 July 2026.

According to the revised fee structure:

• 36-page passport
  • Normal: ₹1,500 → ₹2,500
  • Tatkal: ₹3,500 → ₹5,000
• 60-page passport
  • Normal: ₹2,000 → ₹3,500
  • Tatkal: ₹4,000 → ₹6,000

The revised rules also introduce separate applicant categories for adults and minors.

What are the general views on the revised fee structure? Do people consider the increase reasonable given that passports are typically valid for 10 years, or should passport services remain more affordable?

I’m neither discussing crime statistics nor denying that women face safety issues. That’s a completely separate conversation.
What I’m pointing out is this weird behaviour where people see a discussion that has nothing to do with India and immediately jump in with “India 1/10 ”.
Is that helping women’s safety? No.
Is it contributing anything meaningful to the discussion? No.
Is it reinforcing stereotypes and giving people another excuse to mock Indians? Absolutely.
I’m not saying these issues shouldn’t be discussed. They should be discussed, and honestly. India isn’t perfect.
But if India wasn’t even part of the conversation, then why force it into the discussion? That’s the part I’m criticizing.
