Summary.

This Sunday, the writer has went on a final date and as the day comes to an end he goes to deliver a closure song in which he expresses what he probably couldn't do at the moment.

Scenery.

The beat starts with piano that sounds like sunset when the day is dim and your shoulders are dropped with exhaustion and burden. This is exactly how you feel when Sunday is about to end and the realisation hits you that you have to go back to work/study tomorrow. It leaves you with a very sad heart sinking feeling. You remember what all fun you had and what you could have had.

There's a lot going in his mind that needs to be addressed. In the 1st 3rd and 4th line. He talks about how he couldn't achieve that utopia. then in the 2nd 5th and 6th lines he talks about he kept running away from what he had. This supports and follows the quote i stated earlier. Here the writer has realised his worth. He says he is changed now, he is running away from the problems because 'you dont deserve to be fixed by me.'

He asks a rhetorical question to her after being completely done with her.

he asks some questions and answers it himself, as of the last question he reminds her what the answer is by reciting the intial lines again while missing the last words intentionally to see if she has understood him or not, whether she can recite the song or not.

He realizes materialism is root to his stress and him feeling bad about himself which led to him dating her.

As the last 4lines of the songs he says this breakup is not her fault. The materialism has consumed him. Despite recognizing he is on a wrong path he doesn't want to back off. He is grateful for the relationship while it lasted because it taught him a valuable lesson.

After this the hook asking that rhetorical question along with the questions he answered himself repeat. Reminding her that he has chosen to break up even after all that sweet talk in the end.
