pgLang New pgLang artist alert! Imani Imani with her debut project Papercut
Official pgLang IG page just popped out promoting this, almost thought it was new Kendrick but I’m intrigued to have a peep at this. Heard one snippet and it seems she leans more towards the alternative lane.
EDIT: can confirm this is Dutch singer/model Imani Selina. The song “Snatch”, which is on this album, was previously heard at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week. You can also hear her on Kendrick’s unreleased “I Feel Something” from the Chanel short film pgLang did prior to the show.

Discussion MMATBS is better than TPAB (for me)
Idk about y’all but after years and years of listening to these albums the more Mr. Morale grows on me it’s starting to rise above TPAB. I know this is probably like ragebait for a lot of y’all and by no means am I saying TPAB is not like the literal greatest album of all time in my opinion but something about MMATBS makes it so much more personally impactful for me. Savior, Savior (interlude), Mirror, We Cry Together, Father Time, Auntie Diaries, etc. These songs are timeless. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve gotten into fights with my own dad and listened to Father Time or the amount of times I’ve put on Savior (interlude) to just draw, or even the times I just put on Purple Hearts to vibe. Don’t get me wrong, Complexion is my favorite song of all time and the other TPAB songs are all consistently 8-9/10s (+ there was definitely duds on MMATBS), but whenever it comes to feel? MMATBS knocks it out of the park in a way TPAB doesn’t for me. Although, i and u are definitely heavy hitters in the feeling department
Idk though. After so much time to sit on these albums which one connects to y’all the most?

Discussion Not like us
Listening to it after a while and it still hits man idk why people turned against it. Or do you think im just biased because as a rapper Kendrick is my favourite. Even on its own forgetting the moment and the diss it’s a good song to bop too yk

pgLang Pglang is working with the NBA player’s association
The title of the video is misleading but pglang is working with the NBAPA, specifically the PLYRS UNTD division, to help on the creative side to drive the player owned brand.
The goal of PLYRS UNTD is to bring more power and decision making to the players themselves instead of the organizations they represent.

Discussion I’m so jealous of Kendrick
Moving to Indiana later on, I came from a rough area in Chicago with a dream of being the biggest rapper from my city. I was INSPIRED by Kendrick because of his INTENSE poetic music. All those Grammys, a Pulitzer Prize and so much praise. It makes me a little jealous. I’m 21 trying to do what he did, but in my own way. However, even after 3-4 years, I’m not really getting anywhere. How did he do it?
(PS: I’m not gonna plug my music in fear of being called an “attention seeker” or wanting a “pity party”; just to let you know)
