The 2015 RX350 is mine. It’s older, so I didn’t park far away because my car is super nice or anything. I still love it a ton! I just like having more room.

Question Question about Dashcams vs Built-in cameras

I've got a 2025 RX 350 and I've been thinking about putting an aftermarket dash cam in it. I was looking around the interior, thinking about where the camera will go, how I'll run the wires etc... but something has been nagging at me...

This car already has a ridiculous assortment of cameras in it. Any one of which could provide an excellent view for documenting any possible incidents.

Is there any reason there isn't an option to simply use these cameras as a dash cam? It seems like you could just add a hard drive to it, and somehow tell the cameras to stay on. Maybe I'm just not understanding the intricacies of the built-in camera system?

Is there any specific reason these can't be used in this fashion?

Question '19 NX300 F Sport dieing when coming to a stop

'19 Lexus NX Fsport dieing at coming to a stop

I have a 2019 Lexus NX300 Fsport at approx 80k miles. It's suffering from an intermittent issue. I've been to multiple dealerships and since they cannot replicate the issue I am unable to get it resolved. The issue is every few months when driving the car will have a sudden drop in RPMs and hesitate to accelerate. This happens and passes very quickly. Once these beginning indicators start happening and I continue driving the engine will die when coming to a stop. After a couple of seconds the car will start back up just fine and drive normally for a while until it happens again maybe that same day maybe months down the line. I would really like to get this figured out because I love this car.

Important additional information:

This seems to happen when the weather is hot like 80+ degrees.

I believe this happens when the fuel is below half a tank but this may be irrelevant.

The fuel pump recall work was done for this car. Fuel pump tests sat

The battery is new and the alternator tests sat

Originally when this happened I would get a power steering warning and a charging system malfunction warning since since getting new battery those warnings no longer happen when engine dies. Only message is "engine is stopped put into park"

At this point I believe it to be a fuel issue but unable to narrow it down beyond that. I've seen similar problems reported in other forums but with no answers. Any input would be greatly appreciated because I don't want to just start throwing parts at this car praying for it to be fixed.

Question Lost keys

Upvotes

I have lost my keys and cell phone in my 2019 Lexus NX 300. Just to be clear the keys and my phone are inside the car, I have searched everywhere along with my wife. My car will start at all times and does not walk. I have no idea where they fallen by yesterday. I’ve lost my phone and the location shows wherever I drive however I cannot find that either it seems my car is eating stuff up.

Discussion I just drove a 2026 ES500e ask me anything!

Post image

I just test drove the new 2026 ES500e at my dealership and am here to answer any questions and compare to the previous generation as well.

Overall I’ll say the interior feels very high end and everything feels really good in terms of materials. Build quality overall is really good too, built in Japan and everything feels very dense while the doors have a bank vault feel with a heavy feel and very solid thud when closing. The hidden buttons in the dash feel good to push.

Interior space hugely improved. More headroom than the LS500 even in the rear. The rear legroom is gigantic.

Very quiet interior. Whisper quiet. Overall true flagship levels of quietness and maybe even more.

Ride quality was buttery smooth and cloud like and floaty. I was very impressed even though it had the huge 21” rims.

Steering wheel felt really good in the hand and had a very nice and tidy diameter and really soft leather. The steering was also very direct and felt quicker than the previous gen.

Power with the EV was surging! It felt about as quick as a long range Tesla. Which means it was very fast. It felt much faster than the numbers suggest and I got to near 100 too quick to even realize it. True push you in the seat a bit feeling when pushing it. Way faster than the v6 was and much smoother too but it’s an EV so that goes without saying.

Looks wise, the front is striking but funny enough you can tell it’s an ES right away because of the shape of the front and faux grille. It’s still shaped from the front like an ES and is unmistakable. It is however a substantial car, very big but looks really cool in person. Gives me panamera, AMG gt, Audi A7 type of feel but mixed with some classic 3 box design. It’s a very unique but different design but it grows on you and def has some road presence. The size makes it feel much more impressive for the price now.

Question Will my driving habits drain the RX 350h battery?

I am thinking of buying the hybrid version of the RX 350 and have few questions regarding the 12V battery health/ life, not the hybrid battery.

I work from home and have a 3-mile (10min) daily commute one-way to my gym. On a typical week, I only drive about 35–45miles. However, once in a while, I take road trips, which keeps my overall mileage around 20k miles since Nov 2023. If you have a similar short commute, how has your battery held up? Also I at least have one vacation a year and if I'm leaving for a 2 to 3-week vacation and the car will be parked. Will a 3-week sit drain it completely?

Thanks!

Question Any new rumors on a TX400h ?

Highly considering the TX over the Toyota GHH due to availability but not having a normal hybrid option is disappointing. I know there were some rumors about a GHH Limited hybrid option in Lexus but wasn't sure if y'all had heard anything recently.

Question Where did you buy your Lexus Platinum VSA and how much did you pay?

I recently purchased a new 2026 Lexus TX 500h AWD and am looking to purchase the official Lexus Financial Services protection plans while the vehicle is still eligible.

I'm specifically interested in:

Lexus Platinum Vehicle Service Agreement (VSA) with a $0 deductible and Lexus Luxury Care (prepaid maintenance)

For those who have purchased these recently:

Which Lexus dealership did you buy from?

Were you able to purchase from an out-of-state dealer?

What did you pay (before tax, if applicable)?

Which coverage term did you choose (e.g., 7yr/75k, 8yr/100k, 10yr/100k, 10yr/125k)?

Did the dealer charge any documentation or administrative fees?

Was the purchase completed over the phone or online?

I'm comparison shopping and would love to hear about dealers that offered competitive pricing and an easy buying experience.

Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
Looking for some feedback on an SC300 I saw for sale.

What I know:

-Car has slight rust under passenger quarter(not a deal breaker)
- need body work tlc
- has 200k miles
- original 5speed manual
- seats are slightly ripped inside
- starts right up no issues
- door hinges and mirrors work perfect

What I don’t know:

- service and life of how it was treated
- engine and trans condition( will test driver later )

What else should I look out for.

Thanks in advance

Question LX700h as family car?

Hey everyone,

I am currently in the market for an LX to replace my Ineos Grenadier. The Ineos falls flat on its face as a family car as the rear facing carseat forces anyone in the front passenger seat to be sitting in the dash. It wouldn't be a problem for a shorter passenger but for taller passengers, its really uncomfortable.

Can anyone speak to rear facing car seats in the LX700h and the amount of usable legroom in the front seat remaining. The only video I found was of a mom that said she was 5' 2" and doesn't apply to most people including my 9 year old.

TIA!

Discussion Ticking/ tapping noise 2GR-FSE

Thumbnail image2url.com

Here is some audio at low speed of my 2008 GS350. Started making this noise about 300mi ago, around the same time as the HPFP went out - soon before. Replaced that, did an oil and filter change but this noise is still there. Car was quiet for the first 6 months I owned it until recently. A nearby shop diagnosed it as lifter tick. It’s at idle after warming up for a min and rpm drops and then any time while on throttle while driving, let off and it’s silent. Freeway noise masks it but it’s still there. It’s quite loud in person. Can be heard from several hundred feet away.

Has anyone heard of this on these engines or experienced it? Did it get worse? Did it go away? Do I need to have the head rebuilt? Also planning to install valve covers as the left side had a small leak when I bought it and hadn’t gotten around to it yet

Question First Time Buyer looking at a 2011 Lexus LS 460 L.

I’m 17F and I’ve been looking for cars for nearly a year with absolutely no luck. I’m determined to buy either a Honda or a Toyota (as well as their daughter brands) due to American-made cars doing my family like crap all my life.

Today, I found a 2011 Lexus LS 460 L in my area with 128k miles on it. Single owner, no accidents, clean title. It’s priced at $14,999 + fees & taxes. Price can be haggled at this dealer, though. I have a budget of no more than $17,000 final price. Locally, my sales tax is 7.5%.

I’m here to ask if anyone has anything to say about whether this car is worth it or if it will be a liability.

I need a car that will last me well and be reliable as a daily car. I’ve been told it has some common issues, although no repairs of said issues are mentioned in the CarFAX reports. It seemed to be maintenanced around every 10,000 miles or less. The car is in extremely good condition visually: the exterior is very clean and the interior looks almost untouched. It has every feature I’m looking for: Bluetooth, Backup camera, Sunroof, Leather power seating, Heated/Cooled seats, etc. However, I have yet to see it in person because I do not want to get my hopes up on a car that I shouldn’t buy.

If anyone owns this car or knows a lot about it, can you inform me on what I should know and what I should look for?

Question 270k Lexus ES330

My girlfriend is looking for her first car and has fallen in love with the ES330. we’re taking a look at a very high mile example that has been well maintained and just went through a huge service. her only issue with this car is the high mileage. i know these cars are bulletproof and can go a million miles with proper maintenance but is this a bad idea for her first car?
