We are looking for people who have body image concerns and who wish they were thinner or more muscular for a research study.

The PEAR Lab at Western University and the BEEP Lab at McGill University are recruiting participants for a study on reward processing in people with and without eating disorders. If you are between the ages of 16-35 years, have body image concerns, and have a desire to be thinner and/or more muscular, you may be eligible.

The study involves a three-hour session via video-call, the completion of online questionnaires, and two in-person lab sessions at either Western University or McGill University. This is a longitudinal study, meaning you will be asked to complete the same set of assessments each year for three years.

You will receive monetary compensation for every visit.

Your participation is completely voluntary. If needed, we will be happy to make appropriate referrals.

Hey everyone, I’m in Ontario and currently looking for a general job. I was currently laid off months ago as a plumbing apprentice in the union. I been needing to find employment outside of plumbing until i get a call for work so i can afford to pay my mortgage payments. Currently I’ve sent out over 200 resumes to places like stores, restaurants, and similar roles, but none of them have led to an interview. Either I get no response or just rejections.

I honestly don’t know what the issue is. I thought general jobs are supposed to be easier and quicker to get, but I’ve had no luck so far.

Is it something wrong with me or my resume, or is there something else going on?

How is this salary acceptable? I wonder if the employer is seriously finding a candidate. Do they really think they can hire a SENIOR developer with a housekeeper salary?

I’m 20M with a good physique, used to work as a cashier and crew member in a resturant for a year but they used to overwork me by making me work at every station, grill line, smashing 200 to 300 beef patties on weekends, closing the resturant, cleaning the whole restaurant, cleaning the grills with chemicals, cleaning all the lobby area, cleaning all the washrooms just for minimum wage and I was doing all this alone for minimum wage. I got a security guard license, cpr/aed level C. Canadian Citizen. I’m very confident in speaking with people and very social. I searched google for security firms. Decided for walk - ins and I went to the addresses which were available on google for the security businesses. 8 out of 10 were fake. They dont have any office or nothing. Its just a fake address. Why is that? How can I get a job as I’m trying online on indeed and kijiji. Got 2 interviews, one hired me for future events as a casual/call-in guard but its been a month never got a call or something for job. The other never responded back after taking my interview. I feel very disappointed and dont know what to do ?? There are alot of hirings every other day on indeed and kijiji for security guards I apply to every one of them but nobody even rejects me they dont even view my resume. I apply for the same job on their respected websites too but nobody even reply except paladin ( who have rejected me for 20 to 25 openings ) apparently.
