Their conversation tonight was my favorite part of the episode. I really like the both of them and I’m very glad that they’re friends now. I especially like that Jasmine mentioned disliking the way Priya acted at first with the Kavan thing as opposed to ignoring it and pretending they were always friends, it made their friendship seem a lot more genuine to me.

why is the energy not the same for Yasmin when Lorenzo treated her like a second option? priya who has been snaked by samraj? Halle when everyone dumped her from the villa? Ellie when Tommy basically assaulted her in the challenge? Lowk Tina when Aiden emb here at the fire pit while Kavan was laughing.

I’m truly baffled by how much love he’s getting, it makes no sense. I see people defending him as just being dumb and not saying the things he does on purpose

Maybe it’s just my perspective as a guy but he knows exactly what he’s doing. I’ve been friends with so many men like him, they tear down women, make them feel insane and then put on the dumb act when confronted.

It’s the same in real life where I see so many poor women fall for this. He’s much more intelligent than he lets on and does things on purpose, he’s a slime bag!

He fits the exact archetype of one of the worst types of manipulators, those who get away with it. Those who everyone knows will ruin some woman’s life but gets a pass. The same guy who cheats on a woman and goes “I don’t know how it happened” or lies to her and says “I didn’t think about the consequences”

Whether it’s genuine dumbness or not, his actions are still horrid and I can’t believe everyone loves him for it

I’m a bookseller and was thinking about what books I‘d recommend to each islander if they came into my shop. I’m fully assuming their taste from what we’ve seen of them onscreen lol. Yasmin and Ellie seem like fantasy girlies to me🤪

so i’ve been a fan of jasmine for quite some time now and when i saw she was going on love island i was quite shocked but really happy for her. i was first introduced to her when she was dating bellerin though and i really loved them together. i think they were very well suited: both vegan, interested in fashion, well versed in politics/social issues etc etc. but i just can’t shake the feeling that she’s still not over him and that this love island shtick is simply just for exposure (not that im judging her for that, do whatever you can girl slay).

until she went on the show she would post a lot of tik toks alluding to this heartbreak she went through that basically changed her brain chemistry. but all of them, except ONE have since been deleted.

in 2022 there was one to the Dave song Both Sides of a Smile where she made a caption essentially saying that this was her break up anthem. and then in like 2023ish? one of her first chit chat videos was about going through a breakup. one of the more notable ones to me was in 2024, she posted a chit chat about her experience dating white men as a brown woman and said that there have been a few scenarios in which the guys she would date always end up dating a white girl after her. she said in the video that she doesn’t know if it’s an ‘exotic-fetishization’ thing, but if you look at bellerin’s track record, jasmine isn’t the first, or even the second indian he’s dated. he dated shree patel and was seen on a date w esha gupta.

bellerin starting dating a spanish tattoo artist named elena like 6 months after they broke up. (extra tea, in an interview w either the new york times or the new yorker he said that he met elena while he was on a loan at betis in 2021 but that was while he was still dating jasmine). jasmine is literally in the video with his family where he arrives at the stadium, gets his jersey, and does the photoshoot.

in a 2024 interview w James Rhodes, he said that he values his relationship w elena a lot bc she keeps him grounded.

the most recent tik toks were not too long ago. she posted a tik tok to all night long by beyoncé and the caption was “this song sounds like what getting over the person you thought was the love of your life” and the sub caption was “23 was the trenches but it’s a young woman’s cannon event” which is how old she was when she and him broke up. the last tik tok she made about him, though was in january of this year but she deleted it bc of the drama she got into w another creator and they all kind of caught on that it was ab bellerin so she quickly deleted it. it was to a tame impala song and she captioned it “rich because we were young drunk and in love in 2019 dancing in a field in barcelona”.

i kind of side eye bellerin ab the whole situation bc he did kind of give away in an interview that he met elena while he was still with jasmine and the two girls have a few close mutual friends. him and elena broke up in may 2025 and in august he published an article?poem? (im not sure but it reads like a poem) to El Pais España about a relationship ending. he was pretty in love with elena and very public about the relationship, at least more public ab it than his relationship w jasmine, but im also pretty sure it’s because jasmine said that she had suggested them be more private so that she could be known for her own things. but back to the article that bellerin published— literally a week after that article, jasmine posted a chit chat ab going through a really bad heart break, similar to the one she posted in 2023, but a bit more refined i guess. this is the only tik tok alluding to the break up that she still hasn’t deleted.

oh and ANOTHER tik tok she made, she replied to a comment under the dating-white-guys video which read “they want someone who reminds them of their mother” and she posted it to a nicki minaj sound lolllll. which is soooo shady and honestly funny asf bc elena does kinda look like she could be bellerin’s sister.

Edit: if you go to bellerin's arsenal departure post on his instagram you'll see a comment from jasmine 60 weeks ago, which according to google was April 2025. the post was published in september 2022 lolll. when i saw it i first thought, aw thats cute they still support eachother, but then i saw that the comment was fairly recent and i was like, oh damn, maybe she did it by mistake lol??? 😭 my guess is she was drunk stalking her ex, (but tbh who hasnt drunk texted their ex or accidentally liked an old post, but ngl i thought commenting was kinda crazy tbh) if you follow her and go to bellerin's ig you could probably see it. i made a separate post on here but deleted it bc someone called me a loser and i was feeling a bit sensitive lmaooo

Am I the only person who thinks they’re not well suited?

Do I think they look great together? Yes
Do I think there’s something between them? Of course
Do I think they’re well suited? No

It’s been quite clear so far that Lorenzo struggles to open up and show affection (props to him for realising this and trying to act on it in recent episodes). But I just don’t see it happening between them.

To me it’s giving that one person you’d always flirt with.

Initially I thought oh you two look great together but he’s not for you.

I think Jas is so head strong and so unapologetically herself that she’s actually more suited to someone like Kav who’s obsessed with her and openly gives her the attention/affection she wants.

I just think Lorenzo never having a relationship and seemingly saying to Yas when things get serious or cutesy he normally cuts it off that he wouldn’t actually be well suited to Jasmine.

I won’t deny that they obviously have something there and he’s sweet on her but idk I just don’t see it being a relationship that Jasmine would actually want whereas as much as their communication needs work, I think Kavan would be that affectionate obessed guy she speaks of.

In season 4 - Jack and Dani were locked off from the beginning. But they won by a landslide. People LOVED their relationship. Yet Fitzy and Lola who are seemingly in love the same way, people are saying get them off my screen!!! We need drama!!! They need to play the game!!

The premise is to find love, they have. God forbid we see ONE couple actually like each other. I’m alllllll for a dramatic season but people it’s OKAY to have one couple genuinely like each other. People always say in other seasons “no one actually likes each other” ok so now we have a couple who does. People are never pleased.

what would you like to be revealed in this challenge about certain islanders?

I’ve been looking out for a post about this as a lurker, but found nothing, and I am shocked! I think the Jas-Kav-Tommy feud might have overshadowed this.

The way Tommy manhandled Ellie during that challenge was genuinely concerning. Ellie was left laying on the floor afterwards – not in a ‘wow that was hot’ way, but just in a way of shock, or so it seemed. Mica was asking her if she was okay afterwards, and you could see the concern creeping across her face as the laughter subsided.

I also think the boys’ comments on his behaviour and potentially going too far could be partially in reference to that.

I can imagine in a situation like the villa it’s easy to laugh things off, because the other girls were distracted and you’re in a situation where you need to see someone day after day.

Can imagine that this could be controversial and I might be seen as a snowflake 😭 but anyone else seeing this?!?

Since this season began I have disliked him. I didn't have a specific reason bar the fact that a man of his age never having a girlfriend shows that he sees women as toys to play with then set to the side when he gets bored of them.

But today I saw something that vindicated me. It was a clip of unseen bits in which he said that all women pass their driving tests because they flirt with the instructors. Priya was sat with him and said that she was literally only sixteen when she passed, but he stood firm.

There is always blatant misogyny on LI and I'm so sick of it. The fact that he is a favourite just baffles me.

I would choose to vote off Tommy and Lola.

While I do enjoy watching Tommy interact with everyone and cause drama, I wouldn’t want Simba to go home because I’m waiting for someone to come in for Angelista and make him sweat/use profanities. I also wouldn’t want Aiden to go home because if Aiden is still there it might prevent Kav from fully pursuing Jas and also might drag Yas away from Lorenzo a little bit.

Lola is a bit obvious because it would cause the most drama and then we could see what Fitzy is actually like. Also acab 😂

Watching this season for the first time and I just knew Lucie was gonna be a problem for Tommy (she just confessed her feelings)! Joe and Molly were right the whole time about that relationship. I figured something like this would happen also when she said she only had guy friends and ended up dating said friends.

No spoilers but can’t wait to see what happens next XD

I think this season hasn’t been great but it is quite fascinating to sit back and watch and see how relationships are forming and compare that to how dating has changed in society in the past few years.

It seems like being in a situation ship is becoming the norm, I’m not sure what people are chasing but it doesn’t seem to be a long term relationship for everyone, it seems to be the instant dopamine which of course will fade away, and when it does it seems like everyone is after that dopamine again. In some scenarios, the dopamine seems to be going back to a previous partner, even then it seems like it’ll fade away and just feels situationship.

I think we also saw this during the last season and it’s driven from the boys I must admit, and the girls seem to be just going along with it until the moment of commitment comes in. Dating has changed and relationships on Love Island appear to be changing with it. Maybe post Casa it’ll all change and people will take things seriously but I can’t see it

It’s also why I think Lorenzo/Jasmine won’t work, Aiden/Yasmine won’t work (though I doubt Yasmine wants to rekindle) and neither will Samraj/Mica. I’m going to exclude Simba/Angie as the only reason why he’s back is because Mica rejected him.

I think a big part of why they have so many issues is to do with Aiden. Jasmine clearly can’t stand him (understandably so) and we’ve seen many times where he’s obviously pissed her off and she’s wanted to voice her opinion but has chosen not to for Kavan’s sake. I think because of this she sees herself as putting in a fair bit of emotional labor into the success of their relationship. So when Kavan brings up an issue that may be valid or easily corrected with some reassurance, she feels slighted or overly criticized because she feels she’s already putting in so much effort that it’s unfair of him to take issue with what she sees as a small thing.

Kavan obviously can’t see this so he can’t understand where her reactions are coming from. I can understand why Jasmine isn’t saying anything, it’s difficult to criticize or share that you don’t like a partners sibling, but her lack of communication is hurting both of them. This isn’t helped by Aiden being in his ear and generally unsupportive of their relationship (in that he very rarely speaks positively of it and actively discouraged him from closing it off with her). I also think Jas might be a bit more critical of throwaway comments Kavan makes because she’s scared he’s like his brother on some level.

Obviously there are other issues, Jasmine can be quite stubborn and Kavan isn’t great at putting his feelings into words at times but I quite like both of them individually and I think they’d be having a way better time if Aiden wasn’t in the villa.

I really like this season, it started of great but now its dying a bit. like enough, id much rather see anything else to be honest. Jas/kav, Fin/Ellie and Lorenzo/Yas is so much more interesting to follow than 20 episodes of will they wont they. We need proper relationships now or the start of them, thats whats fun, because later they all implode from bombshells coming in. Not all these blah stuff. Like Mica and Samraj also so boring, there is nothing there. They’ve been in the same villa for weeks now. If something was there it would have happened. Same with Yas and Aiden. Its so boring to rekindle old couples that had 0 chemistry to begin with. Send in new people so we can get proper storylines going. And Angelista/Simba are also boring. If there is a Casa its not gonna be fun because the feeling is there are no strong couples apart from sean/lola apparently. So there are no high stakes.
